I ordered fries ala Mexicana like I always do. This time it felt very weird felt like it was someone’s old order or canceled ordered they gave it to me. I told them what happened they didn’t even bothered to do anything about it. Disappointed!!!!!

No frills small eatery. They have quite a bit of variety. We had a late night meal here, they stay open pretty late on Fridays. I had a burrito and it was acceptable, but it might not have been wrapped well bc it came undone quickly. The salsas in house are all pretty good. But the food was smaller than you’d hope. Overall, gets the job done, but if it’s daytime and you have more options, it’d be hard to convince me to go back here

I ordered a protein bowl and a shrimp burrito to go from here. It was so delicious, and I really appreciated the salsa station! The spicy salsa verde was so good. Can't wait to dine in!

Great lunch special, 3 tacos with rice and beans for $9.99. Friendly staff and fast service. Hot sauce bar is a nice bonus multiple different types and jalapeños and carrots.

We got the most delicious and flavorful food from Taco Maya in the Niles location! I ordered on the app to get an offer of 7 dollars off and it was 13 dollars of food per person in my family! My family and I got the fries a la Mexicans, an abundance of paneer and veggie fiesta tacos, and grilled burritos. I don’t see any flaws with the blend of flavors; truly mouthwatering food for an Indian-American family of 4! Amazing service and the sauce options were endless! I will be sure to visit when I’m home from college in Chicago! ✨

Incredible time. We were visiting from Ohio and went in not expecting anything crazy at 11pm.
Food was fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The salsa bar was a great addition.
The staff was a close second to the desserts - both shined bright and made it a very memorable visit, but the churros blew us away.
Couldn’t speak higher of Taco Maya, will return on next visit

Taco Maya is our go to taco spot! The prices are good & the food is great! The signature taco is a must try! The fresh tortilla chips with every order are fantastic. The salsa bar just adds to the enjoyable flavors. Taco Maya has the best taco game in town! The staff is friendly & they get your food out quickly.

Outrageous prices. Especially the cost for a rice water(horchata) they only have one size and this is it. They have no larges & for this small cup size they charge $4. Absolutely outrageous. Use to go here all the time, but ripping off customers like this is insane

Horrifying Experience - Avoid Taco Maya on Golf Road
I had a truly horrifying experience at Taco Maya on Golf Road in Niles, IL, that left me in physical pain and completely disgusted. I ordered steak nachos and a Korean taco with a watermelon mint margarita for dine-in around 3:35 PM. As I was eating the nachos, I felt something sharp in my throat. At first, I thought it was a tortilla chip, but it wouldn’t move, and the pain only got worse. Then I started tasting blood. Panicked, I rushed to the bathroom but had to use the men’s since the women’s was locked. After making myself vomit multiple times, I finally dislodged a sharp, wood-like object from my throat, which cut my tongue on the way out.
When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they dismissed my concerns, claiming it was something that happened with the meat. They handled the situation without any regard for hygiene—one of the cooks even continued preparing food without changing gloves after inspecting the object I vomited up. The staff’s response? They offered me a soda as compensation. Unbelievable.
I left with a bleeding throat, and as someone on blood thinners, I now need to visit the ER due to the injury. The complete lack of care, hygiene, and basic human decency from the staff at Taco Maya is appalling. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. This experience was traumatic, and the staff’s behavior was unacceptable.
