Good Korean food but if you come during lunch time during weekends, be prepared to wait for at least 40-50 min before you can eat anything.

The food was delicious. Ingredients were fresh.
The server was rude and not attentive. It was clear that she didn’t want to provide her service.

I came here with high expectations after my friend recommended it and said they had a great time. Unfortunately, my experience was completely different and honestly very disappointing. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with rudeness—the Korean lady at the entrance was extremely unwelcoming and practically threw the menu at us. It felt like we weren’t wanted there at all. If this place only wants to serve Korean customers, they might as well put up a sign. It was incredibly uncomfortable and came across as discriminatory. The food was average at best—not worth the price or the poor treatment. I left feeling hurt and disrespected. I would never come back.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The Korean female server came across as rude, dismissive, and showed signs of racial bias, which made me extremely uncomfortable. When I politely pointed out that some side dishes were missing, she responded, “If you want them, I can give them,” without a simple apology — very unprofessional and disrespectful.
The steamed white rice was cold and tasted old, and the food portions have clearly gotten smaller while the prices have gone up by around 20%. I also noticed one dish that should cost around $8–10 was being sold for $40 — completely overpriced.
Sadly, this place gave me the impression of being unwelcoming and discriminatory. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and will not be returning. There are plenty of Korean restaurants with better food, fair pricing, and respectful service.

I chewed on paper towel that was inside the stir fried squid.

I am giving this restaurant one star because there isn’t a zero star option. This place is one of the most tasteless restaurants ever. So disappointed. I ordered spicy squid and yook kye jang. Yook gye jang is disgusting because meat has horrible smell. I never going back to go that tasteless restaurant. My daughter couldn’t finished her meal because of that cheapest meat smell.

The food was not the Korean food I wanted and the waiter was disrespectful to the customers and very slow. No communication skills. Will never come to this place again😭
Food was not bad. Take out is a good option here but dine in wasn’t good. Rude people who barely gave us any water.
Try So Gong Dong nearby! They are much better in both food quality and service.

I ordered fish roe stew. They skimped out on the fish roe by a lot. Each of the roe in the picture is the size of a quarter. I am paying closer to $20 bucks including the tax. I do not think your food is worth that much. I used to come here, but recently, your food has been a disappointment to say the least.
Thank you, I won’t be coming back.
Even though the food was not the best, our server was amazing and even offered to refill our side dish.

Food was good, the restaurant was generous on the sides and kept them coming. The waitress was kind but after we received our food, she never came back so we had to track her down for our check.

Great service and friendly staff. Stir-fry chicken, pan-fried dumplings, and kimchi pancake are all must-tries.
I usually remember to take photos of the dishes before we dig in, but everything looked so yummy this time that I completely forgot to snap a photo beforehand. That said, I hope this photo does justice to how delicious the food was.
The dolsot bibimbap arrived perfectly sizzling in its pot and the bossam was cooked very well. Their stews and kimchi jeon are equally tasty! The atmosphere is lovely—personal, clean, and perfect for good conversation. The staff are wonderfully kind, too.
As a Korean, I often miss certain dishes that are hard to recreate at home. I haven’t found many places in Chicago that nail it like this, but Tang certainly does. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant if you’re looking for yummy Korean food :)

Dined for the very first time here today, with 2 friends who called this a hidden gem. Exceeded my expectations: delicious and super fresh food, huge portions, excellent friendly service, quiet atmosphere great for conversations. We got so much food: bosom pork belly, dolsot bibimbop, kimchijeon, oxtail soup. We decided not to order the 5th dish, cold buckwheat noodles with vegetables. But they mistakenly made it, and they gave it to us, on the house. That was so unexpected, a ridiculously generous and delicious bonus. We will be telling all our friends about this wonderful restaurant.
