My wife and I had dinner there with our cousins. We all loved the food! The service was excellent and the place is very clean! The owner and staff were very accommodating to our special dietary needs and requests. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!
We ordered the Quesabirria (3 tacos), the Super Nachos and Taco dinner with asada/steak. The food was fresh and so flavorful. I also loved the salsa bar and horchata. Everything tasted home-made and delicious.
Food was amazing, they were super helpful when making changes to the order (my sister is picky LOL). Quesadilla was soo good will definitely be coming back! The owner was so sweet ? Jamaica water was also really good not super sweet. They also have so many salsa choices? My pictures do not do the food justice? Btw the fajita plate came with beans and rice!

This was our first visit and we enjoyed everything about El Coronel. Can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu. Enjoyed the salsa bar. The Cecina with grilled onion-Taco was cooked tender and perfectly. The Al Pastor with Pineapple, Cilantro and onion was delicious. We tried each of their special Tacos and full of meat and tasty. We were so full but decided to try their dessert as well of ice cream and caramel churros! Wow glad we didn't skip dessert! The place and tables were so clean and the waitress Ivonne was so welcoming and helpful. This is a hidden gem in North Aurora for sure but want to share and spread the love! You won't be disappointed!
Dietary restrictions: My husband has an all nut allergy and they understood this and said the salsa with peanuts was clearly marked.

I do not eat out much but if and when I do. Here? Is a place I will pick; There has been so many disappointment lately in the food industry, when I pick a place to eat out. This? We had carry out tonight and we were really impressed! Staff is super friendly and food was amazing made quick and hot! They even custom make a vegetarian burrito. The green salsa was addicting. The guacamole was one of the best I've ever had, all ingredients were fresh and amazing flavors. We can't wait to go back to dine in and try the salsa bar! Very authentic, go try it and support local!

The food was so "fresh"! We enjoyed Camarones a la planchet (grilled shrimp meal), pork taco and shrimp taco. An extensive salsa bar, at a variety of heat-intensity. Highly recommend. Great service and authentic food and atmosphere.
