Oak Street Restaurant And Bar

I’ve been there several times and it’s mediocre as far as service. When I play the slots it’s about 40 degrees hotter than the bar, they need fans or something. The restroom smells horrible and the staff is entirely dismissive. You almost have to raise your hand for attention. I’ve given them a few tries but today was my last! I came in around 3pm today and the bartender seems nice but then I realize she’s only nice to the regulars who buy her drinks! As soon as she was off she sat at the bar and talked horrible things about patrons who had been there earlier (and bought her drinks) then she proceeded to take extra tip money that the incoming bartender gave her as extra tips and proceeded to sit at the slot machines. It doesn’t stop there. She then went to tables of people with their families and children and made them uncomfortable. All the while I sat at the bar and watched her show unfold. Why an establishment that has such a good reputation would employ someone who behaves this way is beyond me. I cannot patronize a place like this after hearing the things she was saying and watching this things she was doing. I really believe that the Bar staff is burnt out they don’t care about their service, they don’t care about providing good service at that! I’ve worked in the industry, in the suburbs for a long time. Never would I have behaved the way she did today, and I hope somebody recognizes who I’m talking about. Late 30s, early 40s possibly…blonde hair up in a ponytail or clip. If that is the person you want representing your place of business, good luck with that.

Went for dinner on Father's Day.
June 15,2025. Service was horrible. Messed up my order. Messed up my salad. It was after 6pm. Hardly anyone there. No excuses. Brittney must have been having a bad day. Smelled like sewage when we walked in. Should have been a red flag then.

I want to like this place so bad since I live near but I’ve given it sooo many chances and it is ALWAYS so disappointing. Food is cold, and just doesn’t have flavor. Doesn’t taste good at all.

Food was amazing. Started off with potato skins. They looked so perfect that we all dived in before I could get a Pic ? They were as delicious as they looked! So perfectly crispy ?We got French onion soup (pic) and chicken noodle soup (no pic). Both were super flavorful and perfect on the first snowfall of the year! For an entrée, I got the chicken carbonara. Perfectly sauced and the veggies were perfectly portioned with the sauce. Also came with Crispy garlic bread ? Overall, amazing food! Great Service! Clean and cozy environment ?

Kid-friendliness: Video gaming RIGHT in the front door. Had to pull the 7 year old away from it because he wanted to play the "arcade games" ?

Consistently delicious. My family each has a fav dish, but also love the variety. Very thankful to be able to get a meal that is more "home cooked" than fast food so quickly. Yum!

Oak street bar is the best bar in town! The staff makes you feel like family. The food is top notch and the atmosphere is superb!
