Oberweis Ice Cream and Dairy Store

Absolutely terrible customer service at the North Aurora Oberweis. I came in for my usual large Banana Licious shake with strawberry ice cream added something I’ve ordered many times at other locations with no issue. Suddenly they tell me they can’t add ice cream, only syrup, even though I’ve had it done before lol literally three days agoand have the receipts to prove it.

Then at the window, they tried to charge me over $14, even though it’s always been just over $10. When I questioned it they claimed the other stores I’ve gone to for years were “doing it wrong.” I waited in line over 10 minutes just to be overcharged and treated rudely. The guy at the window was dismissive and unprofessional. I had to ask for my debit card back and leave.

Here’s the best part I drove a few minutes down the road to the Geneva location, ordered the exact same thing and guess what? They made it just like always strawberry ice cream, $10, no issue at all. I spoke to their manager explained what happened at North Aurora, and they literally just shook their head and apologized for the awful service I got. Told me to keep coming back here and they’d take care of me.

Unbelievable difference. North Aurora needs serious customer service training. Posting the Geneva receipt for proof and countless other receipts from various oberweis stores, including this one, and have ones from even last year as well. I have given Oberweis a lot of money throughout the various years. I’ve been to so many different locations, and I have never been treated this poorly ever! Really disappointing I won’t be returning!

Great and attentive staff. The Banana Split I ordered was delicious- I also ordered 2 scoops of butter pecan for my hubby who doesn’t crave ice cream-like I do- and thought “He is going to eat one scoop today and leave the other for tomorrow”, but when I look his way, he was done with the whole thing! 🤪

Those waffle cones? Baked fresh daily, darling - just like my wigs! And don't get me started on that whipped cream from scratch. It's giving me life, honey! 🍦👑

Now, picture this: Super premium ice cream served in traditional fountain glassware. It's vintage, it's chic, it's everything! And let me tell you, that apple crisp sundae? Pure decadence, sweetie! 🍎🍨

But the real gag? The warm welcome and family vibes. It's like RuPaul always says, "We're all born naked and the rest is drag" - well, at Oberweis, we're all born hungry and the rest is ice cream!

So come on down to Oberweis, where the flavors are fierce, the tradition is timeless, and the experience is absolutely divine. Trust and believe, this queen gives it 5 stars and a whole lotta sass! 💖👸🏼

I ordered the apple pie sundae and i didn't realize they didn't ask if I wanted it in a waffles bowl or regular. I was so sad when I got home and saw it was in the paper bowl🥲.

My family used to enjoy going to all Oberweis stores. It's a shame you no longer have the popular flavors. Ie; Mint Chip, Black Cherry and now Chocolate Marshmallow and more. If you're going to stay in business vanilla and chocolate just doesn't cut it. We might as well go to the store or Baskin Robbins.
We'll muster through but we truly miss coming back to your store
Hopefully someday ?you'll get the popular flavors back.
