I was there at 1:30 PM . The food tasted like it sat around a long time . It was not fresh at all. Bacon was hard and cold . Sausage was dry and cold . Cesar salad was very wilted and soggy. Lot's of the entries were cold . I spent a lot of money for a parry of 3 . But the meal was not worth what I paid .

We came to Algauer's for an early Easter dinner but was shocked to find the entire restaurant only had 2 couples eating. Sat down and overheard one of the couple's send the food back because it was overcooked and inedible. We got drinks (pretty weak ones), slowly, which was amazing given no one was in the restaurant and decided that we weren't going to risk being disappointed at this price point. Settled up after the drinks and left for Hugo's in DesPlaines (which, as usual, was excellent). Don't know what is going on with Algauer's, but I'd think long and hard about going there.

My family has been going to allgauers for near a decade now, the food was usually very good, however this year the restaurant has taken a turn for the worse, much worse. We booked a private room for 4-5 hours. The minimum on the room is 20 , originally we had 21, but for various reasons ended up only having 19, but still had to pay the minimum - I understand this and have no problem paying for the extra food that was ordered we expected to be able to get it wrapped to go in this case. When we arrived the shrimp platter looked like it was half eaten or they really have cheaper out on the service (1st warning sign) Then the food was out with sternos for barely 90 minutes and the staff started taking it to the back, (near full trays of food -2nd warning sign) we asked for some boxes to pack up some the leftovers for the meals which we were paying for, but had a last minute cancellation. The staff said they didn’t have any to-go containers for the food but would leave the room temperature desserts out - seriously we paid for a 4+ hour hot buffet. We had the room for another 3 hours we were not sure why they were rushing us in this manner. Then they took all the dishes and flatware - while people were still hungry and all the food we paid for was wasted. After another half hour the service was a ghost town - we had to go to the hotel to ask for service - very strange (3rd strike). I haven’t seen service this bad since Covid and employees were scarce (in general). With no one to refill drinks or food to eat we ended up leaving well over an hour before the end of our reservation. Wish I had a chance to tell you more about the food but it disappeared before we could really get a chance to eat it. Service has gone way down since last year - I don’t think that they will make it much longer if this trend continues.:(Wheelchair accessibility: It was wheelchair accessible

We went in on Christmas Eve. The food was good, the service was good and the restaurant ambiance was very nice. The holiday menu was very reasonably priced considering what other higher end restaurants are charging. I would recommend.

This was are first time for a holiday brunch. Although I think it was pricey, it saved me from shopping and cleaning. Food was great. Everything was hot and there was a variety. Something for everyone. Our waiter seemed to be a little overwhelmed at times, but was attentive when we asked for refills on soda. Would we do it again, possibly if the price cam down a bit.

Was it little different from the previous years for the worst. This year we didn't see a whole baked salmon, the cheese was just ok . Dessert the same- ok. The fireplace didn't work. Overall we liked being there

Despite website saying that brunch started at 10, they didn't seat anyone until 11. Service was very good. Best part of meal. Annoying to have to pay upfront, including tip. Cost over $200 for 2 people. Not a good value. Some of the regular brunch items, especially the poached salmon, were not present.

We had our wedding at Allgauers and it was fantastic! Have dined many years since for brunch and was really wonderful!!! However we were there for Christmas Eve 2023 and it was beyond horrible. We ordered a 2016 Chianti Reserve Superior and received a 2022 Sent it back and ordered a J Lohr 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon and received a 2022. Sent it back Ordered crab cake appetizer. Came cold and mushy 5 of us ordered French onion soup and it was so salty it was inedible They had no Gluten Free menu and frankly didn't trust what they were representing as gluten free as we had a celiac patient No manager on duty that night. Minimal staff. So we cut our losses and left BEYOND DISAPPOINTING!!!!! Will be hard pressed to return Sad!!!!!

Has our rehearsal dinner here 40 years ago. Thought we would take a walk down memory lane. Menu is limited and food was sub par. Barely decorated for Christmas. Will not be back. Very disappointed!

My husband and I went to their New Year's Day champagne brunches for many consecutive years. Of course COVID interrupted this. To my recollection, they didn't do it for NY 2023. This year I saw on their website that there would be a brunch on Christmas but it didn't mention anything about Jan. 1. I asked about it on the "Contact Us" area of the website. After almost a week went by with no response, I called the restaurant and left a voice message. I got no response to that either. After a couple days, I thought maybe someone with the hotel could answer my question. We really would prefer their brunch to booking somewhere else; just needed an answer as to if they were doing it. I called at around noon on Dec. 8 and was connected to the Sales Dept and I explained the lack of response I was experiencing. The woman told me her name - I will leave her anonymous on this review. She apologized and said she would get back to me before the end of the day. By about 5:30 pm I had gotten no call back. Finally, sometime in the early evening I got a call from an individual - not the person I had spoken with - He said "I understand you have a question about New Year's Eve." I said that no, I was asking about the Jan. 1 brunch. He sort of hemmed and hawed and then said that "we are focusing on Christmas right now...." without giving me a yes or no. I said, "so I should keep checking?" and he said yes. Now, come on. It doesn't take a restaurant genius to know that if a restaurant is going to put together the supplies and staffing for a holiday that is just 3 weeks away.... they surely would have to have started planning - and certainly would have already decided that it is being done! Awful, awful customer service!

Extremely frustrated with the restaurant and service. we made reservations for Thanksgiving several days back. we were told we have until November 20th to cancel. Although they already charge my credit card Approximately $500. we have a cancer patient in the family and I broke my foot. I have left 4 messages to try to cancel a reservation and I cannot get a live person to save my life. I have left 4 messages over the last week and have not gotten a one phone call. today is the deadline to cancel reservations yet I cannot get a single person to acknowledge any of my phone calls or call me back. terrible way to do business, so very, very disappointed. I guess tomorrow, the next thing is a call to a higher level And also my credit card company to dispute these charges. It is extremely upsetting to have to go through all of this, just as simply cancel a reservation. not good for business at all, very, very disappointed.

Still riding out my contract because after the most unprofessional and uncomfortable experience, I refuse to continue to receive my treatments from the Bloomingdale Illinois location. U are pressured to write a review right after your first visit. Then, if they accidentally give up your appointment to someone else, you are turned away even tho u have an appointment and took time off work to be there. There's so much more, but I'll stop there. Milan has been the worst laser hair removal experience I've had. I have been getting laser since I was 15, I'm 34 years old now. I am waiting for my contract to end so I can go see a respectful, honorable location that cares about the service and customer. This place is only after money review and body's

We have gone there many times over the years for holiday brunches buffets. Not sure what happen there this year but the food was all pretty much no good. No more chocolate fountain. Prime rib was tough, sides were tasteless. Are last trip there forsure.

From the moment we contacted the organizers to the moment we walked in the door, this was a full service place! I was celebrating a milestone birthday. The menus were beautifully made and designed with efficiency of ordering in mind. From the moment we arrived, the staff was ready to move us in doors due the rain and proceeded to rearrange the tables to accommodate the party size and bringing extras to taking care of everyone’s food and drink orders. The only regret is not sitting on a cozy and intimate patio due to weather which is of course out of everyone’s control. Everything was taken care of and with such speed. The drinks, the food, the presentation. And all was delicious. You guys are the best!
