We worked with the Banking Institute as it was part of our package with our wedding venue. During our cake tasting we found out that any designs on the cake were an out of pocket / additional expense - which was a major disappointment. Not necessary the Baking Institutes fault but this was not disclosed to us from the venue or when we booked our cake tasting. The price of the decorations we had to pay for was the price of an entire wedding cake at a smaller business bakery.
In terms of the cake though: We provided an idea of what we were looking for in terms of design. We also asked that the lace match my wedding dress and they saved a photo of my train and the decals. I was very pleasantly surprised at the decorations on the cake, they definitely listened to our vision! Our cake was delicious and we had lots of compliments from guests. We saved the top tier for our anniversary, and can’t wait to dig in!

My banquet hall was partnered with the institute. I'm gonna start out with a positive.The cake was truly delicious. All of my guests raved about it. Even after the tasting I was looking forward to having it again. The meeting with the vendor was a little awkward the gentleman seemed annoyed with me. I do know I had the last appointment of the day.I figured maybe he just had a long day, so i brushed it off. He felt pretty confident on my design. He seem like it was going to be easy to do. I had a very simple design, so i left without a care in the world. People really expect me to go over the top. I had a Halloween Wedding, and I wanted something very simple, and elegant. I was very disappointed when I saw my cake.I didn't let it bother me during our party, but now the more I see pictures. The more i'm annoyed by it. It literally looks like a little kid drew it. I really feel like they should have practiced the spiderweb design first on a piece of paper or something. I do not know who thought this was acceptable to send out for a wedding. I'm really disappointed, because they had all these beautiful cakes and I can't say that mine was.

The Baking Institute was a partnered vendor with our reception hall, and honestly, we didn’t expect it to go as well as it did. Our first meeting wasn’t great, and we were unsure about moving forward. Thankfully, they allowed us to come back for a second visit—and that visit completely blew us away with their incredible customer service. The baker took her time listening to our vision and thoughtfully sketched out a cake design that perfectly fit our theme. She also offered insightful suggestions that really helped bring our ideas to life. On the wedding day, the cake looked absolutely beautiful and tasted even better. We chose a white cake with a French custard dulce de leche filling, and we had guests who normally dislike sweets devour their slices! We can’t wait to enjoy our anniversary layer next year.

Worked with them for our wedding cake. I am gluten free but not many of my guest were, they suggested doing a GF topper and regular cake for the bottom two layers. They also suggested making the two types of cakes different so that the servers would have a visual distinction between GF and regular. I really appreciated them being able to accommodate my diet and also offer advice for my event. Of course the cake was beautifully decorated and absolutely delicious, our guests raved about it all night.

We appreciated that the tasting was quick, and that they were very thorough about what the reception venue would pay for, and what we had to cover. They were very knowledgeable about what cake options were best with the different fillings. There were lots of options to choose from, and our guests were very happy with the way the cake turned out. It tasted delicious! We highly recommend the Baking Institute if you are looking for a wedding cake venue.

They also worked with us to design all the beautiful details on the cake - even ensuring they had the right color purple to fit our theme colors.
