Tried to order a chocolate chip shake - which is a vanilla shake with hot dip chocolate mixed in. The guy at the counter didn’t understand - and when we complained the order wasn’t correct the owner blamed us for failing to order correctly. We’ve encountered this issue a couple times with this order so we explained it very clearly when we ordered but there was language & culture barrier here. Will definitely not return to this location. I don’t need to argue with the DQ owner about whether or not I ordered correctly.

Sad to see what has become of this long time Northbrook establishment. Barely any toppings and reduced portion sizes with increased prices. The new owners have zero clue that this neighborhood place is more than nickel and diming and squeezing every penny out of people that have been coming here for decades. The new decor is cold and still feels Like it’s being renovated.

Purchased three kids meals and were not given ice cream cones. Went back up after eating and the owner stated we did not claim them at the time of purchase so no. They come with the meal and we ate inside! Also provided 1 napkin per person and 1 ketchup per person. Asking for more was like asking for the keys to his restaurant. Do better!!

This place is NASTY! I found MOLD in my chili after I had already eaten half of it. I will be lucky if I don’t get sick. And the service is awful, the employees look like they don’t even wanna be there. Do not go here!!!! Save yourself.

Horrible service, we got our ice cream and as we sat down, they felt the need to remind us they would be closing soon…soon being an hour and a half from when we paid for our ice cream. We saw and heard the employee who waited on us get reprimanded for the amount of toppings they put on. Honestly, after ten years of visiting this location, we won’t go back and already spread the word with meat by friends and family. The new owners ruined this place.

So we sat here on a nice Thursday night for food with my 4 little kids, there use to be a water dispenser so the kids could get water, it wasn’t there tonight I told them to go ask the lady at the front for a cup of water, all 4 kids did and they come back asking me for money, I was confused and asked them money for what? I asked the girl at the front what is she charging for tap water? And she’s like i need to cover the cost of the cups what a joke man
