This place was disgusting there was mold / mildew along the footboards when I walked in and the whole place was covered in grease and crumbs everywhere. Also mud and debris from the roadway littering the walkways. I can’t even begin to imagine how disgusting the back kitchen is and how they handle the ingredients. The service was terrible. The line people were slow and seemed annoyed I was in their presence. They became aggressive and hostile after they messed up my order. The food was terrible and I’d easily just go to Chipotle over this overpriced fake authentic any day. I reported them to the health department. I’m sure the “manager” will be in the comments telling me how I’m wrong tho lol.

EATACO is hands down one of the best spots in Northbrook! The vibe is fun and welcoming, with colorful décor that makes you feel right at home. The food is absolutely outstanding — every taco is packed with flavor and super fresh ingredients. The margaritas are also top-notch, easily some of the best I’ve had in the area.
What really sets this place apart is the balance between authentic flavors and creative fusion twists. You can tell the menu is crafted with care, and it’s always exciting to try something new. Service is friendly, fast, and attentive, which makes the experience even better.
Whether you’re here for a casual bite, happy hour, or to watch a game with friends, EATACO delivers every time. Definitely a must visit if you’re anywhere near Northbrook!
first and last time dining here. we came in for a late lunch and ordered the elotes, a mexibowl, 3 tacos, and a side of fire roasted corn. The elotes and side of corn came out first and they were okay - the tacos came next, and instead of the mexibowl we received a burrito and sent it back. The unfortunate part was that there was a very long piece of what the waitress called “a piece of hair from a doll” for when a child was playing near the front checkout. Needless to say, we left. She came with the bill and it was $18 for a side of corn and an elote appetizer. We walked out hungry and slightly disgusted that we just paid $18 for corn. Disappointing experience.

If I can give 0 stars I would. Sophie, the server and manager, was beyond rude and insulting. We were the only people eating and my children who are both under 5 were being children, laughing talking getting up, again no one in the restaurant and half way through our meal she said “yeah I can’t do this” threw take out boxes down and said “you gotta wrap it up and go”. Unbelievable. Additionally we were charged for a menu item we never received which I had to flag for her. The tacos were soggy and didn’t taste well. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Absolutely terrible all around. If you’re going to work in customer service and hospitality then learn how to treat people with respect and grace. Try Tllacayo in Deerfield instead!

Came in with a group of 5 on a hot summer's day for lunch. From the get-go, our server Sophia was excellent, providing appropriate seating for someone with special needs in our group before we even thought to ask! All of us were exceedingly happy with our food. Each had 2 tacos of various kinds, all were terrific! My Al pastor was great, and the lamb taco was out of this world! Melt in your mouth tender, great flavor, perfectly moist, with a great complimentary salsa. Large selection of vegetarian tacos, which was good to see, as well as gluten free options. I've had tacos from all over the world, and these are some of the best I've ever had. If I were local, I'd definitely be a regular!! Kudos to everyone involved.
