House 406 is THE go to spot on the Northshore for fine dining in a casual atmosphere. We two appetizers and salmon and tomahawk pork chop entrees, and every morsel was delicious. Oh, and the bar program is elite too - inventive cocktails and exceptionally well curated wine and bourbon selections.

We love the food, service, and vibe of house 406! Cocktails and wine selection are amazing. The food selection is seasonal and we love their watermelon and feta salad as well as their vegetarian French onion soup! Service is amazing and we always enjoy this place as a date night without our little one - as ambiance is quite loud yet energetic.

Went with my grandma and fiancé and we all loved it! Ambiance and food were great, and they had a lot of options for those seeking gluten free meals. Loved the salmon and the lobster appetizer they had!

Food and service were excellent. Burgers and chicken with orange maple glaze were delicious. Service is always great.

We had a team dinner for 6 people and it was fantastic! Everything on the menu was so delicious that my team asked to come back here next time we were in town. We used the side dishes as appetizers and ordered basically every dish on the menu and shared it. Nothing was leftover! Excellent service, food and atmosphere- I highly recommend this establishment!

Food was very good and dinner on the patio was really nice setting for a business meal. Sean was great as our server creating zero pressure, providing good food and wine advice and being there when needed. Stepped in for a cocktail after dinner and found a great bar with a tremendous whiskey collection. Bartender Gabby was engaging, knowledgeable and her drinks were on point. Turns out our server Sean is also the f&b manager so kudos to him for the great choices from the bar. I'll be back

Northbrook / northern Chicago suburbs you have yourself a very special place here ! It’s your quaint little Michelin star restaurant nestled in a suburb. Every time I come to town - I start and finish the trip here. Food quality , food preparation, the wonderful balance of flavor, acidity, sweetness, etc. - all top of the line. My only complaint is, they haven’t opened a branch in my hometown yet.

House 406 is the best restaurant in Northbrook! Jennifer Eisen has curated the perfect experience from the ambiance, cocktails and menu. We feel so special every time we go there! The Good Hunting, salmon and burger are our absolute favorites!

From the minute we stepped into the door, we were greeted very warmly , gave us anniversary wishes and were shown immediately to our table. A server came right away with champagne to celebrate our anniversary. In a few minutes our order was taken and delicious bread with herb butter was served. We followed it with a Caesar salad that was okay not very garlicky. We ordered the miso salmon which was superb and one of the best salmon dinners I have ever eaten. My husband ordered the branzino fish which had wonderful vegetables but a small portion. We also ordered carrot cake which was phenomenal. We will definitely return and highly recommend this neighborhood gem.
