We moved from Des Plaines to Charlotte, NC. We decided to make a trip back to our old stomping ground! We got off the plane and went directly to La Taquiza! We love and missed their asada burritos! Fresh and great service! Maybe we have to move back… 😂

Been here three times… first time was okay. Second time I ordered churros and they were still cold and doughy in the middle. Asked for a remake and they had an attitude. Third time, I asked for extra sauce because they gave me one sauce for 4 tacos and they again had an attitude. When I was willing to pay, that’s when she finally offered one extra bc they had a minimum fee. The only person that doesn’t have an attitude is the young boy who is up front cash.

Ordered to go, overpriced for very small portions, paid extra for toppings, and didn't get it. Asked for extra sauce, and the lady at the register was annoyed, I had 3 orders and only gave 2 sauces! The food is acceptable. Would NOT recommend.

If you want to get food poisoning this is the spot. My dad was there Friday and has been really sick since with fever of 102 he went to the doctor and confirmed it was food poisoning. Our family and friends won’t be returning here.

It's nearly impossible to explain just how much La Taquiza means to me as a lifetime Northbrook resident. They have the kind of food that incites epiphanies, where you try it once, and your eyes are opened to a higher astral plane upon which food can be enjoyed. On my last night in Northbrook before leaving for college, I missed closing by just a few minutes, and was moved to real and genuine tears over how crushed I was that I wouldn't get to eat there for such a long time. No matter where I go, no matter how much changes, La Taquiza will be a home I'll spend forever coming back to.

The tacos and quesadilla were… edible, but it's not what I'm used to on Collins St in Joliet. The meat was bland. Sure, you can eat it, but it’s more for the ‘seasoning is scary’ crowd. If you like your tacos with a little spice in life, this might not be the place!
