Not only is the food great but the wonderful gentleman who was my server was amazing!Lets start off my reviewing the lunch entree I got. I ordered the chef recommendation which comes with tandoori chicken, buttered chicken, and lamb (I don't know what type of curry).I asked for a spice of medium to spicy mix. Ask and you shall receive! The spice level was perfect. I wanted heat but not so much that I don't taste the food.The buttered chicken is buttered chicken. I call this the gateway food of Indian food. It's simple. Nothing that I personally would ever rave over but was yummy. Now moving on to the lamb. Oh. My. Lanta. Cooked deliciously. The curry that it came in was also tasty. Tandoori chicken came out sizzling and was seasoned perfectly with the right amount of crisp. Tender and soft as well. Lunch came with Naan which was fluffy and it looked like it was baked fresh. Definitely not the typical flat store bought Naan. Chutney was also provided when I was seated. I ordered the mango Lassi and as you would expect it was standard and good.Lets quickly talk about service. I came in with luggage (just came from the airport) and they held the door open for me. So kind! I was seated at the perfect seat where I could toss my luggage to the side and out of the way. I asked for a box and the check (server could tell I was still picking and eating) and he said "I'll bring the check later, no need to rush". What a man! So sweet and kind. I came during non-rush hours (after 2pm) and I felt like I wasn't a bother at all and very welcomed. I appreciated the small talk here and there too as a solo diner!Definitely check this place out! They also have a fully stocked bar but I didn't order a drink.

Great food!! Went there for dinner. I ordered the Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, Samosa and Mango drink. Everything was great!! Really good portions and price! I will definitely be going back! Server and host were very friendly and nice which made the experience great!
If I could give 10 stars I would exceptional service I told them I had 30 mins for lunch. They had my food already ready for me and boxed it all up for me when I left best service I've had at any restaurant I will definitely be back and the food was delicious! Thank you so much!!!!

We have eaten at nearly.all of the Indian restaurants in Chicago, on Devon Ave, and the northern suburbs. This restaurant is the best because the various are prepared with rich flavorful ingredients. Most other Indian restaurants are bland by comparison. The wait staff, such as Milton, are excellent. They always ask about the preferred spice level. My wife likes rich flavors but mild, and I like it spicy, and they always get it just right. We lived in Singapore for six years so we learned to appreciate the nuances of Indian cooking, and Maharaj clearly distinguishes itself as the best.

Came here with a South Indian friend and it was great! Unfortunately, he is a vegetarian so we only ate vegetarian dishes, but they were still really good. Very flavorful! The chili naan was good, the eggplant dish we had was also good. Next time, I will come back here and try out their dishes with meat. I am a carnivore. The service was good, the dining area really nice. Will come back again! BATHROOM REVIEW: Located past the kitchen, the bathroom was in tip-top shape. Inside there was a urinal and hand dryer, which all worked great. Toilet seemed to be clean, and if not, a handy toilet brush sits right next to it, if you want to take matter in your own hands. Sit or squat? Sit!

He advised about the quantity of food and that ordering for appetizers would be overkill. When he heard that I was diabetic, he brought out a special sugar-free drink. Will definitely return.

Everything Good. But they have to maintain the test on busy days also. Regular Day Food is very good. But sometimes Busy Day has a little low test compared to regular Days TestsOtherwise everything fine.

I truly appreciate the service at this restaurant! The food was amazing! I went with my fellow coworkers after a show. So we were extremely hungry. Milton was our main waiter and he was so patient and kind. Also several members of the staff checked on us, Patel added some tasty desert and introduced us to the owner, Sonu. Another gentleman helped find our waiter because we took so long to make up our minds ordering. Some of the staff members even had a fun chat with me on my way back from the restroom. They were all so sweet! I really hope to get to return to this place when I'm in town!
