The food I DID get was very good. I ordered ukha, they were out of that. I ordered borscht, they were out of that as well. I ordered herring but also out of that lol.I ended up getting verenyki & salad and they were both great but how are we out of 3 out of 5 dishes ordered?

Right from the beginning, the entrance was blocked with a trash can and a cart. We ordered the mushroom soup, veggie burger, beef stroganoff, and chicken.The burger was burnt, with one side of the bread black and the other side untoasted. We also ordered coffee and never received it.I felt bad for the waiters, because they treated us politely, but were clearly not trained well and didn't what they were doing.Overheard the manager berating someone next to us. Never coming here again.

If you want to know how looks Caesar salad for $25. Boiled shrimps with no seasoning in a wonderful plate. And I never received another dish. Never again:)

The food was really good, but the service was one of the worst I’ve ever came across. The server did not know the food or the drink menu. I was there with my girlfriend, and the server only brought one menu out. No one has brought napkins, or refilled our water, or even came up to check on anything. They messed up our order. And at the end when we requested a check (because no one came up to our table for a very extensive period of time) despite us being the only group of people there and three of the servers working, no one would pick up the check. I had to go chase after the servers to get their attention. I was very frustrated with the service, and would not go to that place again

5 star service. Cozy booths. Quiet. Huge portions. Reasonable lunch prices. Food was good-not amazing. But I would definitely go back. Great place to have lunch with a friend.

When we arrived, they did not have our reservation. Only one server there, only one table being occupied by another group yet our server left our table three times while taking our order to take care of other things (door dash?). We left.

this is not a review based on the food or our server, this a review for the managers who work the floor who should be here supporting their team.here is my problem, we are a group of 4 on a wednesday; so slower on a weekday and dont expect a lot of traffic. our server tonight did her best but was frazeled when asked very basic questions regarding either the regular menu or the beverage menu, this tells me she was and is not trained properly. what prompts this is she couldn't even fulfill basic cocktail orders because she didn't know what to do. when asked where extra help was or even where the manager was she said they were off and unavailable; that is unacceptable as a fellow manager. I understand having days off I get that believe me I do, but when you are unresponsive and don't come in to assist your team especially when you know they are understaffed because two people called off and the only person here is a new hire!now shout out to the executive chef, at least they are here doing their part! the food here is quite good.

We were a group of eight for lunch and our service was excellent and everyone enjoyed their entrees. Prices were reasonable and would strongly recommend.
Checked their website which said it was OPEN Saturday evenings. Made a reservation for a confirmation email from you. When we got there we were told they are not open on Saturdays. Luckily we found another Resturant near by.

I wanted to try the restaurant tonight with my family and one other guest, total party size of 4 people. I tried booking a table through OpenTable, however NOTHING is available until 7:30p on Monday, March 28th 2022. Ok, no big deal, I'll just call the restaurant. I called the restaurant at 847-715-9440, listened to the menu and tapped on 1 for reservations. After 10-20 rings, I was promptly told by the automated phone system that I had selected an invalid mailbox. First sign that the restaurant doesn't care about its customers (or future customers). I tried a second time, and tapped on 0 (zero) for "all other" inquiries, I expected the same treatment, but amazingly someone answered. I asked about availability for an 8pm reservation, and was immediately told they were closing at 4pm. No why, wherefore, thank you for you interest, nothing pleasant about he interaction. I'm surprised they are closing so early on a FRIDAY, when lots of people go out. Makes me wonder why, .... For such an unusual closing hour, I would at a minimum have expected THE PAVILLION'S website to have indicated the early closing. Their website says they are open until 10p on Fridays and Saturdays, closed Sundays, and open until 9pm the rest of the week. The week as defined by their website does not include Monday, it's probably a safe bet they are closed on Mondays as well. (Full disclosure, Yelp shows them open 11a to 9p on Mondays.)
