First time there. Food Service was a bit slow, although the cocktail service was quick. Our food was average to very good.
We again had the pleasure of Jose being our server. He adds to what is always a pleasant experience!
Food is consistently prepared. Sides are paired with entrees to enhance the meal. I do miss the blue cheese salad with fig jam, which was a summer special. Adequate parking.
Always good food at Prairie Grass and this visit was no different! The burger and Whitefish looked great. My Caesar Salad with chicken was very good. Service was a little slow during this visit, which may have been a very large party close to where we were seated.
We ordered an item from the specials and they brought something else without informing us that they were out of that item.
The food was delicious and service was excellent. Portions are right-sized. It was a bit loud/noisy, so maybe not the place if you want something more intimate. Otherwise everything was outstanding.
Great service but my husband ordered the tenderloin special and the meat was tough. Sauce and whipped potatoes were perfect but meat was somehow overcooked. My salmon was delicious so I guess on quality of execution it was a draw. Normally a consistently excellent dining experience but not last night.
Too many issues: table was not ready at our reservation time. Waited 30 minutes in the area I was told to wait, and had to go back to check. They said they couldn't find us when a table was ready (we were there the entire time). Beer selection is abysmal, cans only and they didn't even pop it open when it was delivered. Food is ok, but nothing special. Bathroom looked old, worn, dirty and had a sewer smell.
From the moment we walked in, servers were very attentive and every staff member knew details of the reservation (here for a birthday). That was a very nice, personalized touch. The food and overall service was excellent as well.
Delicious lunch and delightful service (as always!) at Prairie Grass Cafe. We enjoyed a variety of Chef Sarah Stegner's appetizers, seasonal watermelon salad, classic burger, and homemade desserts. Jolanta is the most attentive server, along with the support team who took very good care of us. We appreciate the attention to detail, farm to table ingredients, and community support that is their mission. It is always an enjoyable and delicious experience when we dine at Prairie Grass, where we are made to feel welcome. We will be back soon!

Came for our anniversary, and surprised with this hidden gem ( literally had to look for it around the corner of the street) great food selection and quality, corn fritters, beet salad, and the chicken cutlet Yumm..etc.. the home made mango was the best we ever had.. and service was prompt and great.
The restaurant was quiet and we were celebrating a birthday. Our server took 15-20 minutes to get to our table after we sat down. After that it seemed that she wanted to turn the table as quickly as possible. Finally, I noted on the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday but the restaurant did not acknowledge. I like this establishment and have been here a handful of times but this time was quite disappointing.
Our party enjoyed the ancho skirt steak, the tempura halibut and nice appetizers: fried green tomatoes, Parmesan crusted green olives, corn fritters and feta stuffed dates. Nice wine pours, not hurried, excellent evening!
The mushroom soup was so delicious and the raspberry cheesecake pie was amazing. Definitely not waiting so long to visit again.
Wonderful dinner. Exceptional service, delicious appetizers (dates and brussles sprouts) and mains- my half chicken was prepped just right and its crispy skin was to die for!
Being greeted by Pierre was a delight!
