New owners. New food.
Nothing is the same.
It’s awful.
Why buy a successful business and change it to trash food?

Such a cute little spot that I remembered right away! We ordered ramen and sushi — the flavors exceeded our expectations. I love that even though it’s a small place, it feels really cozy and charming.

Excellent Ramen soup and sushi. New owner has maintained the same or better quality as prior owners. Sushi is very good quality. Everything is fresh and tasty. My favorite Ramen and sushi place in the North suburbs. Please support your local businesses. Highly recommended.

Great food, fresh, and even the chef will serve you when he has a chance, giving me an omakase feeling. Forgotten to take a photo for their chill oil, go so well with sushi they have, wondering they will sell it on the side for me!!!

The best ramen in town. Ramen is tasty and flavorful.

I was shocked by how much the ramen quality has declined since the new owner took over. Everything has turned into a cheaper version—the noodles, the broth, the meat… it all feels like a low-quality assembly….in the broth, there are so many unknown particles that can’t even dissolve…chicken karaage looks like McNuggets

I didn’t realize the restaurant changed owners. I decided to give it a try and ordered ramen. Without exaggeration the amount you receive is only half of what the last owners gave for the same price.

Ever since the previous owner passed down to the new guys. It’s been different. The ramen now is a watered down version with the noodle, the broth the chashu all feel like a much cheaper version of the previous recipe. The sushi is also just very common with nothing standing out unfortunately. The service attitude is much better on the good side.

Would have liked to try but was closed at noon on Sunday. Please update your hours.
Food is decent. Ramen is tasty, not extraordinary, but decent. Service is terrible. The woman working the front is rude. No hello, no smile, no thank you, no how’s everything—and we are the only two people there! When I asked if something can be done differently, she very rudely said “sorry NO” in a way that shows she’s not sorry at all but annoyed. I have the distinct feeling that she would prefer us not being there. What’s the point of having a restaurant then? Will never come back.

We have been here a couple times. It’s out of our way, we only come here when we come to our son’s appointments. We have noticed owner always looks upset. But we always came back for the food. Today for the first time restaurant was full. Again we were with our son. We noticed the difference in service between our table and all the other tables. We weren’t given options in drinks (no problem, we could have asked). Nor did we get asked if we needed anything else, we were planning to take to go, we were just given our tab, while all other tables were asked if they were ok or needed anything else. But the most disappointing part was when we were told to ask our 4 year old to be quiet in a rude way in front of everyone. First he is a 4 year old and he was talking normal raising his voice at times like a normal 4 year old. He was not yelling he was the loudest because he is a kid. I understand the establishment is really small, but if there is a problem with kids then just say when families enter. I suggest to never ever call a family out publicly if their kids are a little loud. It is embarrassing to a family and you may never know what that family may be going though, and if you need too, approach a family privately. If you were upset on how our child was speaking I cannot imagine how you would react if there was a kid talking louder or crying. Now I understand why each time that we came you looked upset, you are not kid friendly.

I love their lunch specials! My takeout ramen was so wonderfully packaged and it made me feel very cared for! I really appreciate the care in which all of the utensils were packages with the broth separate from the other soup ingredients. The karaage rice bowl is great too as well as the chashu ramen! Fast service as well.
