Highly recommend for kids birthday!UPDATE: This year I ordered Harry Potter cake for my daughter's 5th birthday and it was outstanding! Svetlana even made eatable wand and golden snitches! I can't express how grateful I'm for such amazing experience!

I just attended a Holiday event at Smart Cake Bakery. What a fun time and a great experience! I learned so much making French Macacrons. Very delicate and yummy cookies. Who knew there are so many different types of butter cream? I'm definitely going back! It's a must if you have never been.

Clearly Sviatlana can do great work! I custom ordered a simple red velvet cake for my boyfriend's birthday. I live out of state so all of my correspondence was through email and a couple phone calls. Sviatlana was a sweetheart and very prompt with her responses. She even delivered the cake herself. It's beautiful and I couldn't be happier! It was also very reasonably priced for a custom cake! Thank you for helping my vision come true and making it possible to make his birthday amazing from far away! I'm bummed I couldn't stop by the bakery myself and be in town to eat some of the cake! Highly recommend!

Wonderful service and beautiful cake! I live in California and our Baker cancelled on us last minute. I was planning on a baby shower for a dear friend and theme of the party was based on the cake that was pre-ordered 3 months in advance. I was hesitant to use Smart Cake because of the lack of reviews, but website had such beautiful cakes so I took a chance. Sviatlana was very attentive and responded quickly to all emails. The cake was amazing! It was delicious and just beautiful.

After seeing all the pictures and great reviews from others I decided to try this bakery for my daughters birthday party. Svetlana was an absolute doll. I showed her a picture of a cake I found on Pinterest and she was able to recreate it to a T. She was helpful with choices of cake and offering suggestions when asked. In addition, I also ordered cupcakes from her too. Not only was the cake and cupcakes delicious. They were so adorable and a huge hit at the family party. Friends & Family could not stop complimenting everything. She is by appointment only. So definitely call ahead. Be sure to check her out on FB too. She does classes as well. And will do parties too. I love for special occasions she's local here in Northbrook. I would absolutely recommend her.

I hosted an event here for 9 ladies and we had a wonderful time! Svetlana was a gracious host and helped each one of us out with our cake Popsicles. They tasted delicious and her cakes that we tried were also amazing. Will be back here for another class and more sweets!

Their bakery was very friendly and designed the cake to "perfection" highly recommend and will make this my go to bakery for all occthe best! We hosted my daughter's 10th Birthday party at Smart Cake Bakery and it was absolutely awesome. Svetlana and her team took care of everything - we basically showed up with favors and candles. Each kid got a apron and a chef hat to decorate. The kids made their own pizzas then split into teams for Cupcake Wars. They helped the girls follow the recipe to make the cupcakes and frosting as well as fondant decorations. They were so patient and kind with the kids. Svetlana also made a beautiful vanilla buttercream cake for the Birthday Girl. Smart Cake provided all ingredients for pizza and cupcakes plus the cake, lemonade, water, coffee (Svetlana made me the most delicious latte!), chef hats and exclusive use of the bakery for 2.5 hours for a very reasonable rate. This is absolutely a local business you need to support!! In addition she also hosts classes which we absolutely be back to take. I highly recommend Smart Cake Bakery!!
