One of my fav hangouts during the early evenings. They toast food to perfection! other places barely get a crust on bagels, but this place does it just right. Never had an issue with orders, drive thru staff is friendly even though the lines can be long. Its one of the better starbucks in the neighborhood!

Weirdly frustrating experience, with abrupt staff and recently dysfunctional internet. The usual re: decor, drink options, etc. Drive-through is probably popular and a better fit for most.

horrible experience. drive thru worker named kate or katie has red hair is extremely rude. she’ll start off sounding nice through the speaker then when you get to the window she’s unprofessional. i ordered an iced drink and she gave it to me hot. as she handed it to me, i asked what drink she was handing to me. she rudely tells me “its on the label” then continues to shove the drink in my hand. i told her it was the wrong drink and i got no apology. i understand mistakes happen but you don’t have to be rude about it. she made me the drink i ordered and said nothing. just stuck her head out the window and waited for me to grab the drink. horrible customer service. do better!

I'm sorry to have to do this but I am a longtime resident of Northbrook and have been coming to this location since it opened. Not one to complain but I have no choice as the amount of rudeness and level of disrespect was just beyond. I came in here to study during finals week and decided to order a drink (after a bit of an unecessary wait) and grab a table, hoping to finish up one of my many papers. I didn't want to freeload on the wifi so I decided to order a small drink and when I asked what type of milk goes in the drink bc i am lactose intolerant the barista rolled her eyes at me and made me feel as if i was being difficult. Rude. I decided to overlook that and go sit down. I turn on my computer and try to jump on the wifi. Could not see the starbucks wifi on the list and i have not studied in a starbucks in a long time so i decided to go back up to the counter to politely ask what the password for the wifi was. Another girl employee who was not there earlier looked at me as if i was an idiot and told me (very disdainfully while holding back her laughter) that there was no password. I checked on my phone and thats when I saw the open starbucks wifi and told her (still politely) that i found it and thanked her for helping me. On top of that, I clearly told the girl taking my order almond milk, she ignored me and put oat milk, then I’m fairly certain she went ahead and put in the normal 2% because my stomach started hurting about halfway into the drink. Beyond rude and unprofessional and quite frankly… a bit evil to do that deliberately don’t you think. I understand there may be some annoying customers with their custom orders but that’s what a barista does and it is part of their job and a tbh it’s a part of life training as well..

I do not know if this is an issue with the generation gap or the management not conducting proper customer service training, but I have worked in hospitality and customer service for 20+ years, as well as managed staff at restaurants and bars and if i ever saw any of my staff treating a customer this way this would NOT be ok. On top of that, they spent the entire time working discussing topics and saying things (extremely loudly) that should not be discussed in front of customers. I am thoroughly appalled at the behavior of the girl employees at this location. And since I am here taking my time to write this review, I will mention that every time I have gone through the drive through the attitude has been dismal as well. This is a customer facing role and as a customer I was nothing but respectful and kind and polite with my interactions. Clearly management is either hiring the wrong kind of people, or not training their staff properly nor holding them accountable for their behavior. I used to come here at least 4-5 times a week and now I will definitely be avoiding this location like the plague that it is. I honestly expected better from this Starbucks location but maybe that's on me for expecting higher standards and basic human decency and treatment from a national chain...

I went twice recently and had very bad service the last time and the time befoee then the barista gave me an opened bakery item when I requested unwrapped (I freeze them sometimes for my grandpa to have later). He gave it 'wrapped' but it was opened on the bottom. And now my grandpa couldn't have it. Horrible. This location used to be my favorite. It's really disappointing.

This is the second time that they have made my drink missing a good portion of the drink.
It is so simple to craft it but still missing the mark. What a disappointment on this management.

Basic Starbucks service. Everything that you would want all the normal items.

Lily ruined my experience. I used to love coming to this location. It’s terribly unfortunate that they have someone so unpleasant, and rude like her working at their place of business. Lily is not friendly nor professional.

Supposed to be open at 5:30, I placed a mobile order and the store and drive through were both closed until 6:20 despite staff in the store. Frustrating to say the least.

WARNING: LISTED HOURS ARE INCORRECT. The Starbucks app and Google say that they open at 5 AM. And the app let me place an order ahead at 5:15 AM on a day that I was trying to get an early start for an important event. When I got to the store it was locked. The hours had changed to opening at 6 AM.

Super cozy and comfortable seating, I like how this location is laid out.

I ordered tea, simple. It was wrong, I’ll survive. It was filled so high it spilled everywhere as I opened it. 2nd degree burns on my hands and legs.
