Refused to give extra cucumbers because a sandwich should only have 6, and said if they gave more they'd charge more. The first and only subway I've gone to to do that. I understand if it's a meat but cucumbers? Seemed a bit rude.

I never leave bad reviews but this place has HORRIBLE service. The manager of this location needs to wear a hair net. I keep finding white hairs on my sandwiches. He also hides in the backroom and takes a long time to provide service. He claims that he is the manager, he doesn't wear a name tag, and he doesn't swap out his gloves before or after using the cash register while making sanwiches

Generously giving them 3 stars for the taste of the food though I see everyone gives them 1 star for service. *Trigger warning if you flinch at bodily functions. I was out for a morning walk when I needed to use a restroom. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were open as early as 8 am. I ran in, used the bathroom, and started to exit when the employee (owner?) started YELLING at me and chiding me to at least buy something. He wasn't entirely wrong but there are much nicer ways to interact with humans. I promised I'd be back to buy a sandwich, even though I really don't eat fast food.When I went back at lunchtime there was one person ahead of me and one behind, no employees anywhere in sight. Eventually he did come out of the restroom. Fortunately, he washed his hands and even more fortunately he uses gloves when making sandwiches. I am grateful that I could watch everything he did when preparing my sandwich for fear that he was going to spit on it as he was so angry at me. The sandwich was good.

If I could give this a zero star, I would. The guy running this place is downright rude and really should not be making food for customers. Here are some examples that show you how horrible this place is:1. I had a decent order of 2 footlong sandwiches. The guy was so stingy with the veggies that when I asked him to be slightly more generous with black olives, he said the max he could do was 6 slices pieces of olives on a footling and if I didn't like it I could leave. 2. I told him that conduct was not acceptable and he started saying he was done and started to say he wouldn't make my sandwich, which I found laughable. This type of horrible service in a town like Northbrook makes this subway a horrible eye soar in the community. I recommend avoiding this place and going to another nearby subway by all means.I'm even considering lodging an official complaint with Subway.
This place is awful, the people behind the counter are rude and they act like you’re a bother, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! The place is dirty, and not sure how fresh the food is. I make sure I tell everyone that I work with all family and friends to STAY AWAY!! I was told today if I didn’t like the way I was being treated, stay home???. If I could I would rate this dump -10!!!

This place is not great at all. Sure, it's subway and tastes like it too, but it sucks. The service is often laughably slow and they never say hi or how are you when you walk in and they act annoyed that you walk into their store that they run. They do not make you feel welcome and they act like they want you to just leave. I almost walked right out of the building one time because I walked in and nobody came out from the back of the store for a solid 5 minutes as I was just standing there. If this wasn't the closest location to my house I wouldn't even go here. Don't give them your money

Went there because I love the owner and love supporting him but the old Indian worker there was extremely rude and had the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I won’t be going back
