Great food with friendly staff
So once a week I stay over night away from home for my current day job. Every week I eat at the same joint (MOD Pizza) and needed a break from it tonight..so I tried this Chinese restaurant for the first time and it will be the last. It was dirty, overpriced, tasteless below average food. So then I almost choked on a sharp coil from steel wool they used in the back to scrub dishes with. I immediately spit it out and brought it to the managers attention. He laughed it off like
Good food willing to accommodate customers with special requests. Promp service dine in or carry out. I enjoyed my Szechwan broccoli tonight.
Ordered food online earlier in the day for 5:15 delivery. At 5:30 we called and told them we ordered and they told us that the driver is on the way with our food. At 6PM we call back and they told us they never even received our order.... so they straight up lied to our face. Terrible customer service... avoid this place.
Received a delivery from this restaurant, bill had no details. I had ordered with a 10% coupon- found out that they did not apply the coupon. When I asked them to rerun the bill and send me an itemized receipt, they charged me double for delivery. Dishonest restaurant, how can you trust their food??
Terrible place Expensive and. tastles food cold and not professional done. egg rolls. taste very bad like they been cooking in the same oil over and over again bad. quality food
Does it look like they haven't painted or refreshed the carpet since the Reagan administration? Yes. Does it matter? No. The food is that good. Purists will tell you that there's a lot of Americanized food on the menu. Ditch them. You don't need that kind of food snobbery in your life. Whether you like an Empress Chicken or Chop Suey, Szechwan Kingdom does it right. The menu is extensive - even those purists will find plenty of options. Entrees are meant to be shared. My wife and I usually order two and take home leftovers for another full meal later in the week. The "crowd" skews older here. My wife and I are in our mid-40's and we bring the average age down considerably. So, just know that going in. Also, they do a considerable takeout business, so don't be alarmed when you see a nearly empty dining room. They're doing okay. We are regular enough visitors that the owner recognizes us and asks how we've been. A nice touch.
Every time I come here the food is cold. Not frozen, just under lukewarm. If they turned up the heatsinks on the hot table I would make turn up this review.
Enjoyed our visit to Szechwan Kingdom October 2014. Service was very good. Dinner for 5 was paced properly. Food was in general very good. Dim Sum did not impress me but Happy Family is an excellent meal choice.
