I had Beatrix on my list since it kept coming up as one of the most recommended brunch spots in Chicago, so we went on Presidents Day Monday. The wait was not ideal, about 25 minutes, but once the food arrived it honestly made up for it.
We ordered the shakshuka, avocado toast, miga egg scramble, and the tall chocolate cake. Everything was delicious. I especially loved the avocado toast with all the toppings. It felt fresh, balanced, and really satisfying. The miga scramble had a great Mexican twist, and the combination of avocado and salsa worked so well together. The chocolate cake was rich and indulgent without being overly sweet, which I appreciated.
Definitely one of the better brunches I had during my Chicago trip. I would happily come back again for brunch next time.

Although it was crowded, we were seated immediately. The food was so delicious and the service was top notch. Our server, Binky was the absolute best! She took great care of us. I can’t wait to dine here again.

I’ve been wanting to try Beatrix for a long time, and I finally got the chance to go with a friend during Chicago Restaurant Week—and it did not disappoint! The $45 special included a drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), appetizer, entrée, and dessert, and everything was delicious.
The highlights for me were the caramel pie and chocolate cake—both were super rich and decadent. I literally had to eat them in “dosages” 😂, but they were so worth it.
Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu, which made the experience even better. The interior is beautiful—sleek, modern, and inviting.
We went on a Thursday night, and parking at Oakbrook Mall was pretty hectic. Thankfully, we found a less crowded spot near The Container Store, which saved us some time and stress.
Overall, great food, great service, and a great experience. I’ll definitely be back!

My food wasn't hot and it was missing an ingredient. However, the waitress helped make it right.

We enjoyed our dinner at Beatrix Oakbrook. My husband and I had studied the regular menu before going and had planned on ordering very specific foods, we didn't realize that restaurant week has started and so they had special menus available on the ready so we ended up going with the Restaurant week menu versus what we had anticipated. Everything was good overall. I hope to visit there again outside of Restaurant week.
Loved our table toward the front and across from the bar area. Cozy and private-like. Whipped feta appetizer was delicious as was my parmesan crusted whitefish. My favorite pinot grigio (Italian delle venezie) was the house wine which was a bonus! Service was good, cappuccino tasty! Valet can be necessary seeing as parking is tough in this restaurant row. Highly recommended.
Staff was extremely nice , food was good and we had an awesome server who made it an awesome night .
Great dinner and service as always! Great to see a few more vegan options on the menu as well and hope that continues. Enjoyed the new vegan apple muffin too! Hope it stays on the menu!
