Attending the last night of Mon Ami Gabi Oakbrook was poignant and wonderful! The service was excellent as always and the food was superb. All the servers, busboys and management coordinated the dance that Mon Ami has perfected over many years. Instead of tearful goodbyes we exchanged compliments on the food and service and promised to see people again at their next job. What a shame the Oakbrook Mall didn't prize this unique restaurant enough to know that we want the unique creations like Mon Ami as a heavenly escape from the present day! Menu favorites are the scrumptious French onion soup, salmon with celery root and beurre blanc, chicken grandmere roasted with garlic and onions, steak classique with the best pommes frites, crème brulée and chocolate mousse! Bruce has orchestrated an unforgettable collection of sauces and flavors that we've enjoyed at birthdays, anniversaries and many special occasions. Servers like Steve, Debbie, Dawn. Tom and others have been conscientious and gracious, and we've always felt welcomed into this little piece of heaven. Mon Ami has been more like Mon Ciel. We'll always remember!

We went to toast the restaurant that hosted so many of our family celebrations....food has been consistently excellent as well as the service. We've requested the same server (Liz) for years! WE WILL MISS MON AMI GABI ?. Oakbrook management has no idea what they're loosing in this wonderful restaurant. Please reopen in another suburb!!! Thanks for a great run ......

Our meal and experience was outstanding as always. We wanted to make sure we were able to have one last dinner at the Oak Brook location. We have always loved having dinner there. We will truly miss it. We would only hope that you will be able to open at a nearby location.

This is my favorite restaurant and I am so sorry the Oakbrook location is closing. We had a fantastic meal to celebrate my husband's birthday and our server Elizabeth couldn't have been better. She was personable and very attentive to everything we needed. Thank you Liz, and thank you Mon Ami Gabi!

Lovely lunch pre fix menu. Loved the Metropolitan Martini. So sad to see this fine restaurant leaving Oak Brook Center. It has been a nice change of pace from the usual mall restaurants for 20+ years.

Everything was delicious -- especially the steaks. Too bad that Oakbrook Center management is forcing Mon Ami to close because they want Mon Ami yo renovate and become more contemporary. We like the ambiance of the French bistro style. Why change what is working well?? We will miss the restaurant!

I learned it was closing the next week, which probably explains. But it was clearly not up to Lettuce standards. Reception was curt - service very slow (but I understand why that is the case everywhere) - and menu choices severely limited.

Mon Ami Gabi did not disappoint us when we recently ate lunch there. We shared the chicken liver pate, which was excellent, then the little gem and feta salad. We also shared a creme brulee for dessert. Noise level was moderate, and service was excellent. We appreciated the extent to which the restaurant uses measures to keep patrons safe (masks required until seated, for instance).

I love this place. Sorry to tell all of you it will be closing November 24th. We are very sorry to see this gem go. Big mistake by closing this one. It was packed on the weekend like it always is.
The French baguette to start was fabulous as always. My son also enjoyed the garlic mussels appetizer. We both ordered the trout almondine which is my favorite here, and it was delicious as expected. We enjoyed a leisurely, tasty lunch over a couple glasses of excellent wine in a beautiful setting.
