This is one of two locations of the finest Persian food in the Chicago metro area. The other one is of the same name and is in Andersonville in the city. The restaurant was originally started by and for a group of Iranian cab drivers who craved the authentic food of the old country and couldn't find it in Chicago, so a small take-out streetside pop-up operation was set up to service the 24x7 cabbies. Word got around about this wonderful food though and the place just exploded, and spread to multiple locations, some of which closed. All the food is excellent and prepared in the traditional Persian manner. If you're new to Persian cuisine, then start with the Sultani kabob. In Ancient Persia the ruling Sultan, in order to show he was a fair and just ruler was expected to eat some of the rich people's food, and some of the poor people's food, and in the case of prepared beef, this is that dish. Have it once, and you'll be hooked for life and get cravings for it and become a Reza's Regular yourself.

We ordered chicken kebab, koubideh, and ghormeh sabzi, but they were all excessively salty. I couldn’t finish my meal.

From the moment we entered, we felt very welcomed as we were kindly greeted my Muhammad who was also our waiter. Muhammad was very helpful in helping us select our food options. We ordered the chicken and filet Mignon kabobs with dill rice and regular rice and it was by far one of the tastiest dishes I’ve ever had. We also had the chicken soup and the bread with olive oil . Amazing food and amazing service. I definitely recommend this place and I will be back.

We had a reservation on New Year's Eve for 7:30 pm. At 5:00 the restaurant called to say that they could not honor that reservation. Due to the fact that the was a party of 100 scheduled for that time. No recourse no nothing. See ya. Not sure if it was a problem on the restaurant ‘s part or Open Table's but I believe we are deserving of some sort of compensation. NEVER AGAIN!
Really good Mediterranean food. Everything tasted fresh and well made. The service was great too. Mohammad was attentive and helped us choose what to order. Would definitely come back.

Food was overall delicious but service was pretty bad. Didn't take a lot of pictures.
They didn't have any drinks besides water. Claimed they were out of pop and didn't even offer alcohol. Tea or water only.
Ignored us for 20 minutes.
We asked for 3 separate checks, waiter said sure but then at the end acted like he had no idea what we were talking about.
Acted offended that we were there honestly.
Take the food to go. Dining in was not a great experience

Having frequented Reza's original Andersonville location since the late 80's, I was saddened when they closed the original spot.
Came to this location expecting a similar experience, but it just did not meet them.
The food was fine and service was adequate.
I was a little miffed that the only beverage options available were tap water and hot tea having been used to draft beer and wine options, as well as pop for the kids.
Staff did well despite the shortcomings.
Overall: very average. BYOB!

Thought it was pretty good, unlike recent reviews. You can ask for lamb kubidah spicy and with hot sauce on the side. Dill rice is nice. We received a complementary dessert at the end which was nice. The food was more than enough and we got boxes to go. We thought all the food was good. I don’t think this deserves only 3/5 stars. We got hummus, baba ghanoush, herb bread (pesto like), and chicken and lamb kebabs which were all good. They also have a Pakistani dinner menu. We got the biryani, butter chicken/naan, and veg samosas with tamarind sauce at the end. They were pretty decent, particularly for not being an actual South Asian restaurant.
Service was excellent. There were only 5 active tables but the waiter was very nice.

The food was mediocre. The original Reza’s had excellent food. This new
place sucks.

Very disappointed. We were avid Rezas customers, and hoped the food would remain the same. This was far from the truth. Beef koobideh is now spicy, why is it spicy?! And the Mast-o-khiar does not taste remotely the same either. Really bummed :(
Not going back. It’s not even close to Persian food. Doesn’t taste or even look like Persian food. Stay away !! Going to noon o kabob from now on. Kabob was not cooked and
Eggplant stew had 1/2 small eggplant in it.
Wow. !! charge $$ and low quality food.
