OMG! We found this place on a whim, looking for GF in Oak Lawn for last minute lunch options. Stumbled upon this GEM! I am no vegan, but the flavor profile is so spot on. Casandra was so amazing, putting together a random taco tray that was so delicious! And A+++ for presentation! Thank you Abuelita Coco, we will be back :)

Abuelita Coco offers an exceptional dining experience with its delectable food, warm atmosphere, and attentive service! On my first visit, I tried their tacos, and they exceeded my expectations. Most recently, I took my daughter, and we had smoothies, rich chocolate sourdough toast, and the fantastic corn ribs. My daughter even dubbed the corn ribs a ‘miracle’! They were unique and absolutely delicious. It's evident that every dish on the menu is crafted with care and creativity, reflecting the genuine love and passion in their food and service.

Just had lunch here with my daughter. The food was incredible! We had the corn ribs, tacos, burrito, French fries, horchata and a smoothie. The staff were kind and attentive. So lucky to have a great vegan option like this on the southside.
I've visited twice. Both times we had an excellent experience! My favorite thing to get are the fresh cut fries and milkshakes! All flavors are yummy but my favorite is the chocolate. The fish tacos are the best I've ever had at a restaurant, which is saying a lot bc I've eaten at a lot of vegan resteraunts in the Chicagoland area! Highly recommend you giving it a try! The corn ribs were different and a fun. Recommend trying if you don't mind exploring unique dishes. Customer service is always good and friendly! I will definitely be back again! Fyi: they have a large selection of vegan ice cream and vegan desserts! I haven't tried yet, bc I'm always full, but one day I plan to go there just for desserts!

Absolutely loved my little solo date at Abuelita Coco! I chose the jackfruit “birria” taco dinner with the corn ribs and a horchata, sooo delicious (sadly no pictures because I went straight in for the bites). Definitely visit when you want a classic Mexican dish but with a twist—thank you Cassandra and staff for the great service as well!

I had the flautas de papa and Joya smoothie. Wow! I mean it was a good portion and very very delicious. Be aware that the prices are a little steep. You’ll get sticker shock when you see the menu. But when you think about it, supporting a small, local business, that is planet conscious, it’s worth the extra money. Their straws are biodegradable and the menu is all vegan. The staff is so nice, too. A must visit for sure!

The food was fresh, hot and delicious. You can tell that the food is made fresh and not sitting. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere was friendly. So many choices for a vegan. I also bought a protein powder that I cant wait to try. The only con is all the ice cream is made with nuts and I'm allergic. But the owner was open to ideas of nut free ice cream. Definitely recommend for vegans and non vegans. The best thing was the calamari.
First of all this is the best place of all times!!! I drive 40 mins plus sometimes twice a week for this place! Absolutely amazing!!! The corn ribs omg! La nieta OMG the burrito OMG lol the pazole OMMMMG!! I want to try something new every time I go the shakes are good the chocolate candies are good the cookies are good!!!! look!!!! Cassandra!!!!’ My love thanks sooooo much for the love dedication and hospitality!! Your family should forever be blessed for the great food and love that comes from your place!!! Every time I go I feel like I’m at home and the food is UNDENIABLY the best!!! Bless your hearts! I know abuelita coco is sooooo proud of what you guys have accomplished!!!
