Pancakes were soaked in egg yolk, service was terrible. They also put a service charge on our bill of 2 people. I asked her to take it off and she gave me back the bill with the same amount.

First time at Black Oak Tavern and I liked it. Awesome bartenders/servers. I ordered the smashburger with fries and it was good. I wish the meat had a bit more seasoning to it but it was good. I would definitely go back and try some other items on their menu.

We headed here for lunch after a travel baseball game in the area. Great food and service from start to finish. We had kids with us (ages 7-13) and they were entertained by the games the bar had on hand (Hungry Hungry Hippos & Sorry). Also, they had outlets conveniently located on the wall (plugs and phone adapters) which were a nice bonus. The bar itself was clean including the dining area and bathrooms. Overall a wonderful experience for a first timer. We will be back for sure!

I'm very disappointed. When did you start adding gratuity to parties of 3. The bill was over $100 and you added gratuity without asking. And the Barb person answer is, all bills over $100 the gratuity is added. That's a lie. I've been going here for 9 years. This was disrespectful and very unfair. Hell with parties of 6, watch your bill for $100. At least, that's what my bar person claimed

Fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff was welcoming and attentive, the atmosphere was warm and comfortable, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared. I highly recommend this location NOT WESTLOOP.

I’ve had a few different things here and let me tell you! Everything has been great, food has been consistent. Wings are great, burger was great, salad was great. Love finding gems like this, make sure you pay them a visit!
My family loves going to black oak weekly for bingo. Erin is one of the sweetest workers and remembers details about her customers. She is a great bar tender and very quick when she makes drinks. Erin sometimes works behind the bar and serves tables when she’s the only worker. She works really hard and makes the restaurant welcoming!

I absolutely love it here. If it’s really busy, you may have to wait a bit to be helped but it’s nothing outrageous. We’ve never had a problem finding a place to sit. I’d go almost every Thursday for wings and cheese curds about 2 months ago. I also went to a few bingo and trivia nights. The scale didn’t like how often I was going so I did have to limit the frequency. However, I highly recommend their buffalo wings and cheese curds. Their nachos and sliders are also pretty good. I’ve really only ever ordered the appetizers so I can’t speak on the other foods. The drinks are also good and affordable. The service is great. The people who work there are very welcoming and attentive, so please be patient with them as they do get quite busy at times. There is plenty of parking. Overall, I highly recommend if you want to be somewhere that doesn’t feel super crowded and has great food/drinks.
