The place is very mid. The atmosphere doesn't know if it wants to be cozy or hip, paired with the fact that it's overcrowded. You constantly feel like you're bumping elbows and worried someone is goi g to run into your knees. The place has potential but it's definitely not living up to it so far.

My first choice menu item was not available so I went with a delicious second option. The toast was spread with fresh mashed avocado, crispy bacon, chopped egg and peppery arugula. It hit the spot. This space makes really good drinks as shared by our happy table neighbors.
They also have special events monthly and table games.

I ordered the bacon egg and egg sandwich. The food was flavorful and hot. I prefer my food to be hot rather than warm or semi cold. The staff is very welcoming, and patience. I didn’t know what I wanted to order and she made some recommendations and was very attentive.

I have been working remotely in Oaklawn on Thursdays and Fridays, so I’ve been trying to find great establishments to work from. I heard great things about this restaurant, but until I was treated with such disrespect, I had to share my experience. This was my third time here and I was told to leave because I wasn’t ready to order something within 10 to 15 minutes of being there. I typically go to Clancy’s in Mokena and I’ve never had this experience. They don’t force you to buy something, and you can sit there and work because it’s more of a place to gather than a business treating others poorly. I was told I should not be using their Wi-Fi if I’m not ready to order something and I can go work at the library and then come back to eat lunch. Sure that really wants me to come back to your establishment and give you money. They have a sign that to work there you have to be a paying customer, but why are you gonna force me to order food or a coffee when I’m not hungry or thirsty yet. If you would allow customers to order when they’re ready, you will get their business otherwise you just lost business because you kicked me out because I was not thirsty or hungry YET. I was told they are A small business that needs to turn the tables quickly But I’m sorry I saw 15 open seats and you just lost a paying customer Because of your timeline.
TO ADD : the last two times and only times I been there I ordered. So what made you think I wouldn’t ? I said I wasn’t ready. But sure force me out and i won’t be returning. What is the difference between an 8 AM purchase and a 10 AM purchase????? You get the same amount of money. You could’ve stated you could place your order now and we can cook it for you in two hours. But that wasn’t even an option because you were so rude. I told you I would write a review based on how I was treated. And yes, I was a paying customer. Good luck. bye-bye

that whole experience was very disappointing. at first going into the coffee shop the servers were giving me and my friends looks. it felt very not welcoming at all. The server told us that they could not serve us and ask why and she stated because it was busy mind you there was only 8 people inside. There was table as well.
i would give it 0 stars but it doesn’t let me so i’ll settle for a one. my friends and i went in and AFTER we already sat down, they asked how many of us it was & told us we couldn't be served. their reasoning was because they get busy on saturdays and need tables. i looked around and there were enough tables. am i not a paying customer still that needs to be served?! that was the weirdest dumbest logic. we were gonna buy coffee & food yet we can’t be served? but when i called to see what they told me about a wait, i asked for 5 people & the girl said it was a 5-10 minute wait. but 6 people is where you draw the line? super dumb. regret the fact that it was even recommended to me.

Me and my friends came on a saturday it was 6 of us we just wanted coffee and it wasn’t even busy, the girl gave us a dirty look and said how many ? we told her it was 6 of us and she gave us a blank face and then went to another girl they talked and then she came back and told us she couldn’t serve us. we were confused as to why? and she stated it gets busy and they need the tables, then we told her we didn’t need tables together we just wanted coffee on the quicks and she said yeah still i can’t sit you guys down. very unprofessional and bad hospitality.

This sweet coffee and wine spot (other drinks too), has some of the best food and service. Ive had the charcuterie board with wine. Recently i tried the chicken avocadoe n bacon sandwich with a spiked hot chocolate. My family loved their coffee cake and the corned beef sandwich. Our server Aiden was exceptional and didn't miss a beat. It has great atmosphere and quaint details. Can't wait to try more of their offerings. Parking in the back, has a cute outdoor seating space too. ♡
