I’ve never had people be more rude than I did today. From the moment I walked in - Cheryl, the cashier, was eyeing me down and giving me dirty looks. Maybe she has a problem with women who have tattoos? I said hi to the girls behind the counter to be ignored. I took my son to the fridge to look at the various cream cheeses available and it was like I was inconveniencing the girls for not hurrying up and ordering even though there was no one waiting to order behind me. Then I go to check out with Cheryl - and I’m trying to tell her what I ordered because she made sure to let me know that my name wasn’t on her screen. And she shoves her finger in my face in the middle of me talking and then tells me in an incredibly snotty way - that a bakers dozen is so different from a bundle. Like I was trying to steal from you people. I’ve never been treated so poorly. Even my 10 year old son was like why was everyone so rude to us when we left. Learn how to deal with everyone - not just people that look how you think they should.
Great Bagels, but I hope they toasting them without asking for.... that's all

We pick up some yummy bagels from here once in a while and love the cream cheese too! Always friendly and place is clean and organized. The place always seems to have a steady flow of customers too.

Attempted to place an order for pick up, was put on hold for 15 minutes. I walked in and the wait was an additional 10+ more minutes. No one is paying attention to walk-ins. The Palos Heights location is much more organized and excellent customer service.

I never write reviews but i felt like i needed to this time. I use to faithfully go every Thursday, for close to two years, loved their bagels but the customer service is absolutely terrible, they’re all always rude and careless. I’ve been going to The Local Bagel Co. on 95th street, and bagel sandwiches are delicious, and customer service is amazing.😋
I will not be coming here again. The staff are extremely rude with no sense of hospitality. I walked in with no greeting, couldn't tell where to order, and got a curt "Can I help you!?" I ordered correctly and my bagels came out not toasted and got the incorrect drink. No one wanted to fix it so I just left.

2.50$ for a paper thin bagel with no seasoning. This place is over priced

I went to the Great American Bagel today only to encounter rudeness by the staff. In particular, this older brunette woman with a Celtic Cross on the back of her neck gave me the foulest attitude ever known demand. When I asked a couple of questions such as “Do you have bigger plain bagels instead of just the mini sizes?” and “Can I please have avocado on my bagel?” I was fed back harsh responses with the coldest tone “We do have bigger versions of the bagel they’re over there” and “We don’t have avocados.” I was appalled by the way she spoke to me and will not be coming there again. On top of that there were flies swarming around the food, so unless you like bug infested food don’t go here.

The first impression that I got was the smell of the store, it smelled amazing and the girls were very welcoming. I ordered the cinnamon apple sausage egg and cheese breakfast bagel with cinnamon apple cream cheese on the side. Everything was very good!

This is my go-to bagel place, typically stopping by twice a week for a jalapeño cheddar bagel sausage egg and cheese, and a doggie bagel bone. I’ve been to other great America bagels, but this one cooks their bagel bones a slight bit more which makes my dog that much happier. Their tomazzo bagels are super tasty and almost taste like a pizza but can get a bit awkward if you try to add toppings. They usually having a steady rotation of fresh bagels being brought in but if you catch them at a busy time they do sell out of popular ones fast. Service is usually super fast and I’m in and out within minutes after ordering.
