Well, we read in a news item that Petey's was closing. So, we decided to go there on Saturday. This was our first time going there. (Not from the area.) This is just the kind of place we love and we were heartbroken like the regulars who were going there for years. Everything was excellent. Great whitefish. Fries. Service. Circuses. The only way we even scored a table is because they had a few cancelations. Petey, you will certainly be missed. Places like this are disappearing fast. Blessings on your retirement.

We’ve been going to Peteys Bungalow on 95th street in Oak Lawn for over 40 years. Usually for a special occasion. Petey is always in the kitchen cooking up something delicious. He’s seems like part of our family . Relish tray, cottage cheese, potatoe salads, meat balls, Cole slaw and pickled beets appetizers Greek lemon rice soup, salad included in the best Greek chicken, Steaks, fish, Pork chops dinners and so much more. Always ice cream, rice pudding or spumoni for desert… Never disappointed. During COVID, he offered take out meals… Best Restaurant on the Southside…Petey, you are the best?

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with daughter and son in law. Service was outstanding and they still have the relish dish along with beets, macaroni salad, cottage cheese, and potato salad. Grilled garlic bread was also included. Three of us got pork chops and one lamb chops. All were good and we took half home. Ice cream and sherbet were also included in price. Would recommend, older place but quiet, clean and neat. Older people will enjoy more then younger people.
Kids would probably be bored.

Parking: We were lucky to get parking right in front on the street. There is also a parking lot in the back.

Petey"s never disappoints! I will say they have done some updating, so it is so what more modernized in there. The service was amazing, as was the abundance of food. Everything we had was fresh, and the steak was cooked to perfection!

The filet was great. However, the butt steak was not wonderful. Too tough and grizzly. All the sides were very good.

The food was tasteless and not good. My grandkids didn't even like their chicken tenders. My first and last time at this place. The service was really good, the wait staff was attentive.

Decided to go a little old school and enjoy this vintage supper club since the other location recently closed. We really enjoyed it overall --- our server was fun, the food and drinks were fine, and we had a great time. The other plus was the amount of food provided --- in classic fashion you'll get a relish tray and various pre-meal sides you could easily fill up on. Entrées came with soup AND salad, along with ice cream for dessert. We were amazed at the low cost for a party of five with drinks included. Definitely worth a visit.

Old time wisc supper club in oak lawn

Friendly engaging waitress, excellent food and plenty of food for the price. First time there, but will be returning in the not too distant future.
