The food is delicious and fresh. The staff is very friendly. I love the zinger and the shawarma. Their fries are always crispy. The hummus is perfection. Absolutely recommend!

One of the best middle eastern places I have been to in the US. The Shawerma meal is great, we also loved the Saj Shawerma which was unique and tasty. The zinger was also great. Great portions/prices and amazing service even with our large group of 17!

I recently placed a pickup order at Baba Saj on 111th and Cicero, and while I normally don’t mind waiting a little extra for good food, this experience was incredibly disappointing. I placed my order at 5:47 PM and was told it would be ready in 10–15 minutes. I arrived at 6:00 PM, but I didn’t receive my food until around 6:30 PM—well over the promised time.
What made it worse was that families who ordered full meals after I arrived were served before me. To top it off, when I finally got my food, it was cold. On top of that, the last portion of my shawarma meal was completely empty, which was both surprising and disappointing. There was no communication or explanation for the delay, which only added to my frustration.
I don’t usually complain about these things, but this experience left me feeling overlooked as a customer. Waiting is one thing, but waiting 30 extra minutes for cold food and incomplete portions is unacceptable. I hope the management works on improving efficiency, communication, and food quality moving forward.
