I’m a big fan of White Castle, but my last visit was really disappointing. The staff was friendly, but the drive-thru was *incredibly* slow. The food tasted old, and my last order was so bad I couldn’t eat it after the first bite. This location used to be great, so I’m not sure what’s going on anymore.

Worst customer service ever. They literally act like they don’t want to be at work they don’t want to take your order, no enthusiasm and I refuse to spend my money somewhere I’m not welcomed. Do not go here. They will also have you waiting for literally 30 mins to even place an order and 30 mins to get.

I frequent WC often mostly in Chicago but monthly my husband and I go to Oak Lawn and settle for WC out of all other restaurants because I love their SL smoothies. We went to the counter instead of the drive-thru and had the worst experience. We had a coupon and I asked to upgrade one drink to a SL smoothie. The young man did not read back the order, I paid $12.99 on a BOGO meal with upgrade (or so I thought) and the receipt was not itemized. I had to wait until the young man came back to the register to ask what I had paid for as he went to work on the order and had giving us one medium and one large cup, no smoothie :(
Another young man came to the register who I am guessing is in management asking what the issue was and totaled a new order quoting a different price of $11.01. I slid him the $12.99 receipt and told him we had already paid. He did not seem frustrated to me as he had to get the keys to undo and redo the transaction. When finished he walked towards the first young man and asked if he made the smoothie and he said he had not. The manager (second gentleman) got a cup of brown liquid with strawberries from the fridge at the front end, frozen strawberries from the freezer at the front end, some lemonade powder, blended it all together then poured it into the same cup. Again, I use the drive thru almost always and the finished product looked normal. When I tasted the smoothie it was the most bitter and disgusting aftertaste that I have ever tasted from WC. I filed a complaint online and the manager called me apologizing saying the concoction was the strawberries and yogurt. WC how are the smoothies made, an inquiring mind wants to know?

Went through the drive thru. A price of $17 and some change appeared on the screen. Went to the window and it was $20.13. Even without the tax the total was $18.26. Something shady is going on. When I brought it to a worker's attention, I got a sorry. When I suggested that he let a manager know the discrepancy, he dismissed me and walked away. I've been going to this location for almost 50 years. Never again.
