Cajun Boil & Bar - Oakbrook Terrace

This place looked like it would be good, but I'm sad sad to say that this was a disappointment. Waitstaff didn't listen to requests, food wasn't up to basic par and I would not recommend going back until the front end and kitchen staff find their passion again.

Food was great, and drinks were strong. However, service was terrible. My waitress took so long to take our order and bring our food. I had to ask the waiter near me to keep reminded her as she waited multiple other tables.

Staff overall was very rude. Didn’t make for a great experience.

Some of the best seafood boil I’ve had! The wait wasn’t too bad given that the place was packed. Fun environment with good music had a great time with my daughter! 🦞

Thai location needs a lot of attention. I really don’t know where to start. 1) the staff needs customers service training. How are you charging a service fee with customer service like that. My wife and I waited 45 minutes until someone came over and took our order we ordered appetizers that we received after we got our entree’s. 2) The place could use a DEEP cleaning the men’s restroom was terrible and smell like mildew. 3) The food is poor quality for those prices.

Women’s bathroom was absolutely disguising first off. Then second, I called around 8 o’clock asking what time they stopped seating, the girl at the front tells me they stop seating at 10:30 but failed to mention we needed to have a reservation and that there was an hour wait. I drove over 30 minutes to this location and I’ll never do it again! To have people sitting and waiting for over an hour just to end up not being seated is insane. Loved Orland location but this location here is trash.

waited over a hour to get my food even though it was a pick up order that should have been ready. Order was suppose to be ready at 12:45 arrived on time, did not get my food until 1:54. Other people had the same issue. The girl at the front was rude ans was taking a personal phone call the whole time. Then the manager comes out in a miniskirt showing her butt. INSANE. Never coming back.

I usually go to the Orland park location (they are now permanently closed and I’m not sure why 🥺)because I have a better experience and the food is worth my money, I avoid oakbrook and oak park because the food is never good and it’s always ghetto. I haven’t been in a while so I figured I’d give it a try, lord and behold nothing has changed oakbrook location is Ghetto, their food is SALTY. The mandatory 17% gratuity is a JOKE because why? The bartender sucked I tried to send my drink back and idk why they don’t let you or don’t want you sending your drinks back here but it was a whole thing. If someone doesn’t like a food/drink item as much money as you spend in there? You should be able to send that crap back without it being a hassle. I can’t be too upset because I knew what I was dealing with before I decided to give them another try but I HOPED for better seeing how I haven’t been there in 3 years. But nope same ole trash of an establishment. I won’t be returning EVER but I will say my server whose name I wasn’t able to obtain was very pleasant, although I did not enjoy my food or the atmosphere I am content with the service I received from her.

Watch out for the 17% tip that is automatically added to your bill. Then they ask to be tipped again. Waiter was good, but other servers acted like this was a house party. Outfits on the female staff make the Hooters girls look church girls.

I was on a business trip and I wanted some seafood . I know good service and this was not that , they didn’t greet us until 10-15 mins after . They were ghetto and food was not the best . Just yelling And cussing. Dre H the server even told me the owners don’t even care about complaints only the money !! So they don’t even care about making the customers happy. He even said they don’t even visit their store unless something is broken . He also told me they had more locations but they closed down , I see why . Just not a good vibe at all . I am very disappointed especially being a restaurant manager

The light over the table was extremely dirty.
The benches we sat on were ripped and a hole where I sank. When the female wait staff at Tilted Kilt have more clothes on than the wait staff at Cajun Boil. When you observe a staff member's relative selling candy table to table. It was a staff member's birthday and observe staff dance with very sexual moves.
Food was very good. But because of everything else I will not return

I ordered online a pound of snow crab, shrimp and crawfish. They definitely didn’t give me that. Wasted about $120 you’d think they’d give you your moneys worth

Super loud rap music through your entire meal. After 45 min of waiting for food, the waitress comes back and says she lost our order. 45 min later we get food. Better have nothing else to do with your night than listen to loud and terribly distorted music.

So we never tried how the food was. It was a very bad experience that we will never return to this type of place.
