Very nice atmosphere. However, nothing for a person who is hungry. This is a fu fu place. I can eat cold cuts with cheese and crackers at home. This place is not for me. I have been around the world.

I could not recommend The Boarding House Bistro more! We had an amazing time tonight. The charcuterie selection is top notch everything we had was absolutely delicious. I make charcuterie boards in Alabama where I live and I appreciated the small details and the quality of the board put together! The board exceeded my expectations but that was not the best part. The service was superb. Monty is a gem and truly provided the best service and guest experience. The food was great, the atmosphere is great, the drinks were great, but the service and hospitality provided by Monty was the icing on the cake. I do not come to Illinois often but I will 100% be back to support this business whenever I do.

Cozy little spot in downtown O'Fallon, with soft lightning and a welcoming atmosphere. Despite its relatively small size, the bistro has a wonderfully diverse selection of fine meats, cheeses and spirits. My friends and I shared a charcuterie board which our server - who clearly had a *deep* knowledge of pairing flavors - helped us craft. We were exposed to a number of new cheeses, including a nutty and crackly Merlot Bellavitano, which made for a fun experience. Will definitely be coming back in the future for more flavor exploration!
