I’m not sure why this place is rated as high as it is, I think that this is possibly attractive for people that live close by that can walk to the restaurant, and people that are OK with a very limited menu. My son had the French toast, which was OK. You order at the counter and then you have to go find a seat outside sitting inside really isn’t feasible because there’s a huge line that is standing right in front of your table while you’re waiting to order. The band that was outside playing at the time we were there was a single artist singing songs from oasis he was OK since it was free. The food is way overpriced and you pay for everything on the side. I paid four dollars for two slices of tomato and I paid four dollars for two slices of avocado….. my biggest complaint is that once you have ordered your drinks at the counter, you can either choose to wait in and incredibly long line for a refill or another drink or you just have no liquid to drink with your food. I cannot say I would do this place again. For French toast, two egg plates for my husband and I with a side of potatoes, tomatoes, and avocado, two mimosas and a sprite for my son was $83!!!! And you wait in a line to order your food and you also clean up your own food and there’s nobody to come refill anything……

Yeah it's expensive for breakfast but everything is so fresh and delicious that it's worth it to go on the weekends.

I usually enjoy visiting June’s because it’s such a cute spot, but I’ve had several disappointing experiences with the young women working at the counter. Each time my family comes in, the tone has felt cold and dismissive. When I asked for help carrying my tea upstairs, I was told to come back and get it myself. When I requested a refill for my husband’s coffee, I was told in a very sharp tone that he only gets “one” refill.

I’ve been here multiple times with different staff members, and unfortunately the attitude has been the same each time. It feels very much like a mean girl vibe, which is sad for a place that could be so welcoming. The girls are so crabby and stand-offish not sure if that's the vibe June's is going for.

I really hope the experience improves, because the café itself is lovely.

Ahhhh-mazing. Quality food, ambiance, staff, vibe, just everything. The vibe is casual, comfy, homey. Truly a local fave with owners who truly care about just everything - especially the people.

Came on a Thursday with my daughter for the first time and the experience was not welcoming at all. No one explained how anything worked. They didn’t mention the straws were off to the side, and when I sat down and asked for water, they just handed me a cup without asking if I wanted ice. I mentioned multiple times that this was my first time here, but I still had to continuously ask where everything was because nothing was explained.

I arrived around 7:40am and the woman who took my order acted like she didn’t want to be there. I understand it’s early, but if you’re working in a customer-facing job, a little friendliness goes a long way.

On top of that, the French toast did not come with any fruit, and it wasn’t even French toast. It was just plain toast with powdered sugar sprinkled on top. My eggs also weren’t scrambled as requested. I took one bite and realized the food was just thrown together with no care.

I didn’t even finish my meal. I asked them to take everything back and I left. Very disappointing overall. The reviews definitely need to be more honest about the food quality and service.

If you looking for a good breakfast spot go to Bowood by niche….

Such a cute spot, adorable seating and good live music! Food is subpar for the price but i appreciate the use of local ingredients. Customer service could use some improvement.

Love this cozy spot for breakfast! Food is always so fresh and delicious. There is some seating inside, but I prefer to find a spot on the patio (there are heaters or fires on chilly days!). Haven’t been for lunch or dinner yet, but looking forward to checking it out beyond breakfast!

An awesome breakfast spot located in Shiloh. Situated on a beautiful property, with an extensive seating selection both inside and out, June’s is an excellent spot to spend a morning with family or before/after a trail hike or bike ride. Our service, coffee & food were exemplary (their breakfast sandwich is one of the best I’ve had anywhere). The short wait (even on some of their busiest days) between ordering and having your food arrive at your table is a truly laudable achievement. All of the produce is incredibly fresh and they also rotate specials for drinks and food to mix up some options. We’ve even had the pleasure of enjoying some live music performances there & on our second visit were greeted by the owner who earnestly asked us about our experience and was very kind and welcoming.

Over price food and still wants you to tip 18% and higher. They drop the food everything else, do it yourself.

Cutie 🌻 This spot is a breath of fresh air. It's clean and minimal without being soulless. Really loved getting there early in the morning 🌞and sitting on the patio. Worth a trip from St. Louis 🚗.
