Ray's SoulFood & Turkey Legs

We went to Ray's for my grandmother's birthday. She wanted to try something new and we had never been here but heard great things about the food. I love how Mr. Ray came out to the tables to check and see how we were liking the food and the service. The food was off the chain. They put their foot in everything. When I get paid I am going back to buy a whole tray of the sweet potato cornbread. The macaroni and cheese was delicious. The turkey wing was amazing and falling off the bone. I had the meatloaf, macaroni and cheese and yams. We had so much food on our plates. We had to take some of the food home. I also had the banana pudding cheesecake. Even the chicken ranch salad came out in this huge bowl which was perfect for my dad LOL. Our appetizers were fried green tomatoes and onion rings and between my two grandmothers and my dad, they left no crumbs. Now I don't eat greens. Don't judge me but everyone else at the table said they were delicious. I'm mad that I didn't try the baked beans because I know they would've been fire. The vibe at Ray's was excellent. They had some great music playing and the restrooms were really clean and I love how they have it decorated. Now don't try to go over there on Monday or Tuesday cuz those are the days that they are closed and Sundays are their busy days with all the church people. We went on a Wednesday afternoon and we were able to come in and sit right down. So with all of that said, kudos to Ray's SoulFood and also our waitress. She was amazing and very polite. I will be back for the cornbread, and when you put those new items on the menu.

Ray's is top of line food and service!!! Expect a wait on Sunday's because it's JUST THAT GOOD!!! Get the catfish with the Ray's sauce. Myyyy God.

Everything on their menu is delicious! Best $80 spent for food for 3 possibly ever. I'll be stopping in weekly for sure. Cajun turkey leg is insane..

Flat-out amazing. Everything was as good as it gets. The greens were exceptional, as was the mac-n-cheese, and sweet potatoes. The stuffed turkey legs are sent from heaven. The peach cobbler is like the best Sunday church dinner. The portions will feed your entire family for several days. Bravo, Ray! 👏👏👏 👏👏👏👏👏

First and foremost, I want to apologize for all the shenanigans and terrible people out there that have made it so that you guys have to stop using DoorDash. I must have been your last order today on doordash but I want you to know from my girl heart to yours I love you all The food is phenomenal I have never tasted better greens or macaroni and cheese or candy yams or that stuffed turkey leg in my life it is 10 out of 10 top tier and I'm just blessed that I was able to get a delivered one last time okay love you bye

food is perfect, seasoned from the heart, and the portions are huge! you will love it!!!

I truly enjoyed the food. Although there was a long wait to be seated because they were crowded. There was not a long wait on the food. My everything was good..mac and cheese, dressing, sweet potatoes, greens/cabbage and fried chicken. It was delicious. Well all ordered different entrees ( protein ) and the turkey wings with gravy, smothered pork chops, and fried catfish were all delicious. This night of my birthday celebration was a great time. The ambiance was good. The service was good.

I'm telling you this place 💯

First time here and the food was hot and good the mac and cheese was cheese and good the pork chops where tender and the greens have lots of flavor didn't care for the baked beans it was to sweet for me the potato salad was ok the rice was ok didn't care for it and the oxtail was oh so tender and good never had oxtail before but it's okay in all the food was good have to come back for chicken

My husband wanted Oxtails. I went there to place my order and that went smoothly. The oxtails were so greasy and gross. This is the last try, as we have had other dishes from them, that were not pleasant. I don't know how their mac and cheese was sweet. If you can't cook, then this is the place for you!
