I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Our visit was extremely disappointing. It took over an hour just for someone to take our order, and even after we paid, the staff didn't acknowledge us or provide any updates. Once we finally ordered, we waited another 30+ minutes for our food.
Basic items like forks, spoons for the chili, and napkins were not provided—we were given one napkin to share. I ordered the Nerds slushy and received what was essentially ice water with a few Nerds thrown in—no flavor, not even close to what was advertised. When we brought it up to the staff, we were met with a rude, dismissive attitude and a funny look, as if we were the problem. Eventually, they added a bit of syrup, but it still wasn’t right.
I also ordered pretzel bites, but was given a large pretzel stick instead, which tasted worse than frozen store-bought ones. To make matters worse, we were told the stalls were closed, yet we saw the next customer get served immediately while we continued to wait.
The customer service was absolutely terrible—unfriendly, unprofessional, and completely unhelpful. We were treated with disrespect from start to finish. I strongly suggest going elsewhere. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had.

Extremely slow service, impolite, and literally reeks of marijuana whenever they slide open the window. I’m amazed that this place hasn’t been shut down yet.

I visit this location often and am never happy with the service or the food. Today, we got chicken strips and they were dried out and hard. They appeared to be a day old. We also got a burger and it was dried out. The service felt like we were bothering the staff and we had to repeat our order numerous times at the speaker. It is worth going to a competitor if they have what you want.

As a DoorDasher, this location is the bane of my existence. Everyone who works here seem so annoyed you dare to press the red button to order (I somewhat understand I wouldn't want to work there either). Most stall screens are in the process of breaking/blue screen of death, multiple drinks with out a drink carrier ( leading to constant spilling when handing over), and worst of all giving people the wrong orders is a constant ( which leads to more headaches cause customers blame the drivers not the restaurant ). I truly hope this place shuts down soon, cause it be utilize better as a vacant lot and used as overflow parking for the Denny's across from it.

Usually my service is mid, no smile no hi but I come back because I’ve never had an issue with my food but TRISH worst employee there! Sat at the window for 10 minutes to ask for someone to get my sauce THEY FORGOT! She came to the window multiple times never opened the window to see what I needed. I waived at the employees in the back no one acknowledged me. Finally I honked and no one came so I parked and walked up and a nice gentleman got my sauce and it took 2 sec. I’ve been in the food industry and I get your busy but this experience has me thinking that this is my last visit!

Food was cold. Tater tots barely warm and my super sonic burrito was literally cold. Thought they where made fresh once ordered. Usually have to wait for it to cool to eat it.

Worst Sonic Food, half order was wrong, long wait, unpleasant grumpy staff, the corn dog kid refused to eat because it was so bad, fries were horrible mushy and really unpleasant rubbery feel to try and eat, fries also the kid refused to eat. Do half order was thrown out.

As other guests have mentioned, the service here is slow — expect a 15–20 minute wait in the drive-thru lane. The food is good, but the portions seem slightly smaller compared to other Sonic locations.

The staff is always happy which is something I don't get from many fast food places. The food has always been hot and fresh from here. I would recommend Sonic to anyone wanting a great meal.
Yesterday, my husband and I visited Sonic at 745 W Hwy 50, O'Fallon, Illinois, between 7:30 and 8:00 PM. We are regular customers who usually enjoy their combos, which are consistently well-prepared. Unfortunately, our experience yesterday was quite disappointing.
We ordered shakes, and when we received them, the young lady at the drive-thru window handed us two watery shakes topped with fresh whipped cream, which was surprising. It seemed like a mistake, and we couldn't believe she thought we would drive off with them. My husband had to wave her down to address the issue.
When I asked if their machine was down or if the wrong ingredients were used, she responded with a smirk and said she would fix it. We ended up waiting additional time for her to prepare new shakes, which could have been avoided with a little more attention to detail from the start.
As loyal customers, we hope Sonic can improve its service in the community. We enjoy the food and look forward to better experiences in the future.

Everything melted,, no reese’s or mNm candies i ordered for my sundae. mind you that costs money. the shake was supposed to be a reese’s shake,, received a melted vanilla milk shake. DISGUSTING. our limeade was melted and disgusting. wasted 30 dollars on absolute trash of food, place, time, and money. I would go somewhere else,, probably somewhere where they basically don’t sell me shake mix. better off going to steak n’ shake. they are wayy better and done see you trash

Seems odd that all the lights are off at 9PM on a Saturday, wasn't even sure if my online order went through. When I brought it up that the lights were off, I was laughed at... Seems like something dishonest was going on that a manager might want to look into.
