My husband took me through the drive-thru on Dec 29th at 2216. The attendant took our order, checked us out, and brought our food out to us. I’m not sure if he was also the line-cook or not, but the order took a little bit longer than what I expected. Upon receiving the food, I realized he had made everything FRESH though. It was hot and seasoned to perfection. I’m almost 8months pregnant and I cannot begin to express my gratitude for this man. Bless him.

Lack of service was bad while workers sat around gabbing people had to manually input orders through a kiosk. Then, when the food arrived, it was nothing near which steak ‘n Shake food used to be.

I thought the reboot was good. I was clearly wrong. Why is the dude in the drive thru cutting me off before i even finish? and then the forget the fries. Then when i go to eat my burger (That i ordered plain no cheese) it has ketchup and pickles and onions and cheese?!?!?! You're 0 for 3. Maybe listen to the words THAT ARE COMING OUT OF MY MOUTH. I drove 20 miles to get disappointed. Thankx Steak n Shake.

Foods edible but the least interactions you can have with the staff the better. Staff was rude, slightly combative and act like they have better things to do then flipping burgers. Just go to McDonald's or elsewhere so this trash place closes down.

Darnell the mgr is not safe to the public nor the employees of Steak ‘n Shake is why this location should and I thought was shut down.
I never leave reviews on places, especially not on Google Maps of all things. HOWEVER, the food? horrible. Messy, depressing, “made fresh”(it was in-fact, not fresh). The cookie dough milkshake was mediocre, made me throw up after. Got a burger, it was kinda sad looking..made McDonald’s look like a 5 star restaurant. They should really spend a bit less money on printing stuff on the napkins and more on better cups, cause that milkshake? Messiest milkshake I've ever had, and I’ve had quite a few. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, WHY IS THERE NO LETTUCE IN THIS WHOLE PLACE??? Tomatoes tasted like they were found in the garbage can, lettuce was non-existent, cheese was decent, pickles were fine, onions also tasted like they came from the alleyway, etc. I swear to god it makes Dairy Queen look like a vegan restaurant. I get it, Americas not really a healthy food kind of place…but really? At-least most fatty foods here taste good. Shake ‘N Shake, I doubt you guys read this..but please, what even is this. Why.

I ordered 6 meals last night and a side of chicken strips for my kids and a shake for my drive. I got home with the food and was not only disappointed but disgusted. The garlic burgers didnt look at all as advertised and tasted like oil. But the worst part was we were served rancid chicken strips. I tried calling to talk to the manager and was ignored. First time going there and the last time as well.

I went here tonight. There was a car behind me. We were the only two cars in line. I pulled up to place my order and was asked to wait a minute. Several minutes had went by and no one took my order. I eventually drove off. Steak N'Shake use to have good food and quality service---not so much now. I can see how the restaurant struggles. This isn't the only location that is/has been problematic. It's probably time to start going to Freddy's instead!
