This restaurant has consistently shorted us one to two rolls per diner in the all you can eat option. If they’re that desperate to save on food costs, maybe they should raise their prices.

Yummy in my Tummy!! ? Excellent quality sushi, specialty rolls, and side dishes. Spacious seating, but the restaurant can fill up during the "All-You-Can-Eat" periods (lunch up to 3 pm, dinner after 3:30 pm) Great takeout service!! Easy ordering online as well. Fair and moderate prices for Super Fresh Custom Sushi and Specialty hand rolls!! 5 Stars (Shrimps?) ! ?????

Parking: Although there are quite a few popular businesses in this lot, parking is never an issue.

Kid-friendliness: A family style atmosphere, perfect for children.

The food just didn't taste good. The oil that it was fried in tasted old. The ice-cream they served my son as a dessert wasn't authentic. 2 days later I still feel sick from eating here.

We are from NM and came here for family. Wife and I wanted to eat sushi. Google gave us this option to pick. The sushi here at Sushi Ai is really good. I do recommend this place for sure. Employees are super nice and helpful. Thank you guys.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. 0 stars if it was an option! Please read full review and all reviews below. My husband and I have been to many other locations in the St.Louis area and have never had a bad experience so we expected the same in IL. We were the first ones inside for lunch 5 minutes after opening. The lady who seated us was just miserable and her misery just continued to get worse the entire duration of our lunch. We both got the premium all you can eat lunch. It took her more than 10 mins to come over to take our orders. And then over 20 mins to receive our appetizers (again we were the only customers in there) also, a man was using bleach in a bucket right next to where the food is being prepared. We should have left after that but instead we stuck it out. We finally got our sushi after almost 50 mins of being in there and it was blah (our waitress was also just sitting in a booth behind us doing who knows what, while we were waiting and we could see our food was ready, she did not even check in on us) Our Sushi was falling apart and just blah. The appetizer crab Rangoon was disgusting and liquidy filling. We asked for more water, chopsticks and napkins to which we never received. We should have had excellent service considering we were the only ones in there but instead we got lazy workers (all sitting down somewhere on their phones) not caring about their customers, and just dragging their feet around in misery. Please do yourself a favor and do not give this business your time or money!

this has been my go-to spot for years. however, recently it has started going downhill for me which is really sad. i recently went with some friends and after i order my extra 3 pieces of nigiri for my second and last round with the all you can eat premium dinner menu, one of the servers brought over something that i didn't order and didn't mark on my sheet i turned in. she kept stating that i did when i didn't and don't even use check marks when doing the all you can eat menus. my friends i was with looked as dumbfounded as i was and because it was something i DIDN'T order, she got real snarky, standoffish and displayed an attitude shift. she then went to her colleague and had her deal with me and my friends with our checks and a to-go order that i placed for my sibling who couldn't go. the employee who got snippy with me also displayed another terrible attitude towards another customer who was double checking other to-go orders, making sure her's wasn't waiting. my friend's husband had also ordered the miso soup with the all you can eat and it was cold instead of warm or hot and instantly felt ill later that night. my sibling's sushi was mushy, didn't taste right like it used to and they ended up getting sick 2 days later. i'm bummed out because it used to be so good and welcoming. now, not so much. this really saddens me because i really enjoy this place.

Worst sushi place I’ve ever eaten at. I ordered 3 rolls and honestly they were the worst things of sushi I’ve ever eaten and we had already put our second order in and I asked if I could cancel it or take some stuff off cause I was already getting full and she said I couldn’t cancel or take anything off of it. The only thing that was good that I tried was the goyoza. Everything else awful and I can’t emphasize enough how disgusting it was. In the photo the sushi on the right I hadn’t even touched it and it came like that all messed up and the top part wasn’t even cut.

I had to wait 45 minutes for my food. When the place wasn’t even crowded, they handled the takeout people three times faster than the ones eating inside of the restaurant. When I asked how long it would take for my food to the lady at the front counter, she puts her hand up and answers the phone for 30 seconds before rolling her eyes and telling me where are you sitting when I’ve been sitting right in front of the counter, the entire time waiting To receive my appetizer.The chain has a good history overall but this location is the absolute worst that you could ever possibly go to. I don’t even write reviews on Google, but this is the first time that I’m doing it because it’s a necessity please save yourself the time and energy drive to St. Louis, not worth the food poisoning.

This is the worst Sushi ai restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’ve visited almost all of them across Saint Louis. The sushi tasted old and mushy like it’s just been sitting in their fridge for days. I should’ve realized when I saw the buy 2 get 1 roll for free. You guys have a good brand name. Plz get new management and fix the food quality.

I wish you could zero stars because this place does not need to be in business.We drove from Salem to try this Sushi Ai location today and had the worst experience ever.We’ve gone to the location in St Louis several times before and were quite disgusted by the very poor quality of the food at this location. We were a party of 5 and most of us were ordering from their “premium” all you can eat menu.Each of us ordered crab Rangoon as an appetizer, but what we received was liquid filling inside that tasted like sweet icing with barely any crab meat inside. We showed the server and upon seeing it she said “oh no” very concerned and we asked if this is normal and she then said yes and walked away. We knew this was in fact not normal, as we’ve ordered crab Rangoon at Sushi Ai every time we’ve gone in the past.After a few moments she brought back another one to our table, and it was the exact same liquid filling inside. She then brought another and it was no different, after that we finally asked if she would just take them off our table because they tasted awful. She was very obviously annoyed with our request, but removed them.We all ordered fried rolls except one of us, and each fried roll had that same disgusting liquid inside. We attempted to eat them, but they had no flavor and just tasted fried so we then complained again about this disgusting liquid in the food, and after that this man came to our table.He started to yell at us when we calmly explained that we were quite disturbed with the quality of our food and this disgusting liquid. He told us we would get a 10% discount but he wouldn’t do anything else because he’d lose money.We explained that we are not comfortable eating this food as we are concerned that we may be become ill due to the poor quality of food. He questioned how we could get sick and we explained to him again that it’s possible to get sick from food that is not properly prepared.He then told us he doesn’t care if we like it or not, that he thinks it’s fine and he would eat it himself. He then offered us 50% off and we explained to him again how we didn’t even eat the fried rolls, the only person who ate was the one guest who ordered a non fried roll and we stated we were willing to pay full price for that one person because of this, but did not want to pay for food that was such terrible quality as we couldn’t even consume it.He again complained he would be out of money, but didn’t care that we would be out of money, and a meal because of their poor quality food we received. We all skipped breakfast for the all you can eat sushi as well, so we were all starving.He then accused us of just not wanting to pay for this food, but we really just didn’t want to pay for food that looked like it would make us sick after consuming it.After yelling at us some more we finally gave him $40 cash that you can see in his hand in the video we captured. He kept telling us he did not care about us, or the restaurants reviews when I started to take his picture to which he stated “take my picture I don’t care” and I let him know I’d record him then since he doesn’t care. He then started saying we took his picture without permission so he will be calling his lawyer.He continued yelling at us even after we paid him the total with 50% off and telling us to just leave as we were all already walking out of the restaurant.
