We visited Sweet Katie B’s in O’Fallon, Illinois today after finding it online while searching for new gluten-free bakeries and it did not disappoint! We’re from St. Louis, so it was a bit of a drive, but absolutely worth it.

We showed up early and were pleasantly surprised by how many gluten-free options they had (way more than we expected). Since it was still morning, we ordered breakfast: gluten-free biscuits and gravy, a hash brown-crusted broccoli and cheddar quiche (my personal favorite), and a quiche Lorraine with bacon that was also so good. I genuinely could’ve eaten another whole broccoli cheddar quiche because it was that delicious.

They also had a big gluten-free pastry case with items like cinnamon rolls, which we didn’t try this time but definitely will in the future.

The service was just as good as the food. Everyone we interacted with seemed to genuinely care—especially about gluten-free guests. From what I understand, the owners and their daughter (who helped us and was super kind and helpful) are all gluten-free themselves, which really shows in the attention to detail.

All around, such a great experience. We’ll absolutely be back.

Omg, Jeana (owner) and her staff are amazing. The food is so flavorful. Every one of my interactions with staff has been great and sweet! Looking into doing some events with them as-well… love everything you ladies do! Top notch place and locally sourced.

I cannot think of a more pretentious and overpriced coffee shop than this one. Take your business anywhere else; Pour @ 322, TheCoffeeHouse Co., or Long Story are much better options in price and quality. Scooters or Starbucks would have been better as much as it hurts to say.

My wife and I ordered a large iced mocha and a small iced caramel latte. Both were watered down to the point of having no coffee flavor. I expected the large to be watered down but the small was actually much worse. I had to stir the chocolate into the mocha myself after watching the barista give them a limp swirl before handing the drinks over. Our breakfast panini was fine, not worth the $12 but I expected worse after trying the coffee.

16 oz iced coffee, 24 oz iced coffee, and one breakfast panini ran us to $29 before the tip. A $12 sandwich and $17 for bad coffee is just atrocious with so many other options nearby.

Ordered two paninis and some bakery items. Bakery items were never brought. I purchased a strawberry cupcake and cinnamon roll. And when we went inside to finally get them the girl with glasses, brown wavy hair, semi tan skin tone had sold the whole dozen even though she heard our entire order. It was quiet. We were not compensated at all. She thought I was lying about my purchase and kept trying to find the receipt even though we had been there for around 45 minutes. We were ready to go and she kept procrastinating and going back to the kitchen instead of getting a cinnamon roll and the macaroon I asked for instead of the cupcake. There were no other customers to attend to. It was last week she did not apologize for anything and was very rude. Will never be returning to this small business again. I have never received this kind of treatment I was very polite and understanding. Didn’t even get a little “sorry about that”. Our order numbers were 53 and 54. Incredibly disappointed in the choice of workers as sadly this does reflect on the owners. Just wanted to try a local place instead of chain this one was a mistake.

Went in and felt like I knew the staff my whole life! Everyone was so helpful and you can tell the staff cares about what they’re doing! The vibe is awesome with friendly baristas, I got the breakfast panini and it was so good, 10/10 recommend I will be coming back!

Crème brûlée French toast, Nutella crepes & quiche were all amazing. So were the drinks. I took my 3 kiddos on a date day and some nice anonymous stranger even bought us macarons! Thank you mystery stranger!

The only sad part of this meal was when it was gone!
My family is from the south and we spent several years in Europe as well. But even without that experience under our belts we would’ve tasted the love in the biscuits and the expertise in the divine savory crepes!
The owner was incredibly friendly and the bakery was very tastefully decorated. The entire place has a very calm (dare I say, encouraging?) vibe that makes me want to bring all my future coffee dates or work interviews there.
They also have a number of gluten and dairy-free options, which is so encouraging as someone with food sensitivities!
Suffice to say, the food was amazing, the meal was timely, and my only regret was not grabbing a dessert or coffee for the road.
10/10 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Amazing place, the staff care a lot to make sure you get what you ask for. The owners want to make sure you always have a good experience when you come in. It is a small local business, so keep in mind that it's not fast food, it will take a couple minutes to get what you order and that is okay!

Vegetarian options: There is usually one or two vegetarian or vegan options available everyday. Either in the bakery case or on the menu. They also have vegan options!

Dietary restrictions: If you have a gluten allergy they take it very seriously. All utensils used to grab items from the bakery case have designated labels for regular, GF, Vegan, etc. They also take care to cook food separately in the case of allergies.

Parking: The street side parking is fairly available throughout business hours but keep in mind that it may be difficult to find a parking spot during busy hours. There is also a parking lot behind the O'Fallon Market building, about a min walk right by.

Kid-friendliness: They do have booster chairs for really young ones to join you at the table. Not a place where children can run around and be noisy though, think quaint small coffee shop vibes.

Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is on one floor and there is no random bumps or slopes indoors to impede a wheelchair.
