The people are so lovely, the baked goods are incredible, the menu is diverse and delicious, and Afternoon Tea on the last Thursday each month is to die for.
Everything about this lil shop is perfect! Even if you’re are not a vegan I totally recommend & guarantee you will not be disappointed! Been coming here for years & always look forward to new creations to try! All is fresh & homemade, careful you’ll be addicted after one visit.. ;)

I’ve been allergic to gluten, dairy, and eggs my whole life and so I’ve had a lot of gluten free food before. The cupcake I got here might have been the best I’ve ever had. I also got the pancakes which were quite good. Great food and service!
I absolutely love this place. It's always worth the 35 minute drive, and even if they were farther away, I'd still make the trip. The converted house to cafe/bakery gives it a "homely" atmosphere. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I can tell the owner, Charlie, puts a lot of love and creativity into her food and service. I also so appreciate how accommodating they are for gluten-free options. They have gluten-free bread/buns, and the housemade burger is outstanding. The bakery case always looks delicious. It's fun to see what the weekly special will be as well. Everything is 100% vegan, but if you're not vegan, you won't miss the meat/dairy in my opinion. For other St. Louis people who haven't made the trip over to IL side, please do yourself a favor and give them a try. It's so important to keep supporting our local small businesses.
