A little restaurant with a small bathroom. I had the French toast with blueberry compote and a side of 2 bacon and hash brown. I also got a strawberry smoothie. The food and smoothie were both very good reminds me of home recipes but better, I could tell the chef put effort into making the food. It did take a little long to get my food but it was also busy. The only complaint I would have is the compote had some bad blueberries in it, but I don't expect them to investigate each berry so it's not there fault.

I have been here a few times and the food is always really good. Was just there 2 days ago and tried the Monte Cristo sandwich. It was delicious and had so much meat. The staff is always outgoing and very attentive

What can’t you love about this place. Great food in a small diner like environment. Friendly staff and good ol home cooked offerings. Breaded chicken sandwich was great quality and the chicken skillet was fresh and tasty! It’s CASH only.

First time in and it was sooo delicious! The pancakes and biscuits and gravy were out of this world! Cash only which was actually kind of nostalgic! Our waitress made us feel like we just sat down in grandmas kitchen to eat. Great place!

I went on a Sunday at noon and we were told they are not serving tables anymore even though they close at 1 on Sunday’s. I had called before hand asking about their payment policy and they did not mention to me that they stopped waiting tables at noon. I believe that this was racial motivated, the hostess was white and everybody else in the restaurant was white. When the hostess saw that we were of color, she quickly proceeded to walk us out. There were plenty of seats in the restaurant, she simply did not want to attend us. This behavior seems consistent with other patrons who had similar experiences of not feeling welcomed. Be wary of this place if you are white. I will be reporting to Better Business of Bureau and the Oswego Chamber of Commerce. Other negative reviews received a replied from the restaurant, however, those that mentioned race and color did not often receive a reply from the restaurant.
A Restaurant When you're Missing Some Home Cooking
This place is where I want to be when "I'm old, young, and dumb." All jokes aside, this restaurant is the heart of Oswego (well, many of them, lol). Since I was a kid, I'd come here for the food and the history. This place has been saving hungry people for years. Literally, moms on a budget, dads that needed dinner for family, teens looking for grub, the famous college student who is sick of ramen, and the old couple that just sit down for some coffee and hot cakes. Covid hit, O.F.R. came to feed the masses. When it flooded, O.F.R. said, "You all need some grub," and what place is literally an acronym for itself. If you ever need something that has flavor and spice, come to here.

First visit back in over three years. Did not expect to wait over an hour for basic breakfast for three people. No care in the world. If you are going to grow like the neighborhood is. Need to make some changes in the kitchen.
Not coming back. Many other options in the area with better service and timely food delivery.
Completely changes your entire experience.

Awesome small diner! Gets packed fast as the food was really great. Large portions. Had delicious biscuits and gravy! Fresh biscuits! Gravy was creamy and not super salty. Bacon strip and sausage are good quality. Definitely will swing by again if in neighborhood.
