I want to love this place as it is one of very few restaurants in Palos area with character, but it has a lot of problems. There is always something wrong with the food. Truffle fries have a weird gravy stuff on them and swimming in goop (truffle oil makes a lot more sense!). Pot roast comes with RAW carrots. Burger way undercooked then they just microwaved it. Impressed with the food, wine list and service every time we go. Had a delicious lunch today. Steak Sandwich, Turkey Bacon Melt & Grown up Grilled Cheese with brisket & those Truffle fries were fantastic.
I do not recommend. We have been turned away for dinner many times. Last night we got there at 8:40 and was told the kitchen was closed. Why say on your website you are open until 11 if you stop serving food over 2 hours before that time. When we left after our one drink. All the chairs were on the tables including the bar. It was 9:50. Why say you are open past 9 if you don’t want the business? I hope to never be back.
