The service is great and the food is authentic. They have both americanized and authentic Chinese food. Very good for family gathering.

I decided to order from Hunan Inn after reading several positive online reviews; however, my experience did not meet expectations. Unfortunately, my family and I found the dishes to be severely under-seasoned. I ordered the Spicy Vegetable Lo Mein, but it lacked any noticeable spice or flavor. While the presentation of the food was appealing, the taste was disappointing.
The orange chicken was also underwhelming and did not have the vibrant flavor typically associated with the dish. Additionally, I was surprised to find that there was no broccoli included in the noodle dishes, which made them feel incomplete. Considering the quality and overall flavor of the food, I felt the meal was overpriced and not worth the cost.
Overall, while the food looked promising, the lack of seasoning and flavor made for a very disappointing dining experience.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The portions are worth the price.

Service was very slow. I have been there twice and it was quite aggravating. Yet, it's fairly new but I don't think I will return without ordering on the phone and then drive and eat it there. Food was quite good, no doubt, especially meatless egg rolls.

We just dined in the renovated Hunan Inn and loved it. We’ve been getting takeout from here for 20 years and have dined in many times, and were curious what the newly reopened restaurant would be like. We couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised - we got a few of the same dishes we’ve ordered for years, as well as a couple new ones to test it out. The quality of the meat and seafood is on another level now; the batter on the chicken is fresh and crispy; giant, meaty shrimp made the fried rice even better; and the Mongolian beef was tender (not spongy or fatty) and the sauce was caramelized perfectly. The crab Rangoon were lighter and had a noticeably more authentic crab flavor, and were delighted that our favorite egg rolls seem to have stayed exactly the same! We also tried the new mango sago snow ice which we will definitely get again — a really light and not too seeet way to finish the meal. Overall couldn’t be happier with the new and improved Hunan Inn.

Food was ok but I was very disappointed my frien and I got charged for a pot of tea. $7.00 for a pot of tea. I have never been charged for tea in a Chinese restaurant. I guess they have to pay for all the renovation. Won’t go back🥺
It's quickly becoming my favorite restaurant in Palos. For any ethnic offerings.
Delicious food, attentive service. We'll be back next time.
