Loved the food and such a wonderful, friendly staff!
Stopped in while in PAXTON and learned this restaurant has new owners since about six months ago. I was only there 1 time before quite a while ago.
Ordered the grilled shrimp taco dinner, which was delicious. Absolutely loved the melted cheese on top of the tacos, as I never had it that way before!
I then learned from the waitress the man who served me was actually the owner ….(The waitresses came in a little later, as I was there early.
Both waitresses were so friendly and nice! It really means a lot when people are so kind and take time to get to know you, even when you are a stranger in town!
Ordered a dozen homemade tamales to go! Can’t wait to try them as I heard they are delicious!
I will definitely be back to try more dishes!
Oh…forgot to mention…very clean restaurant with large bar and TV’s …AND…GAMBLING MACHINES in the back!
Parking: Parking in front with a handicap spot on street and also parking on side of restaurant.
Wheelchair accessibility: Large ramp to enter the restaurant right in front, handicap parking in front also.

First and foremost, this menu is more than 80% American diner fare with some basic Mexican options scattered far and between. Due to the lack of Mexican options, I ordered a Reuben which they were out of followed by their Deluxe Burger with a medium-well cook. While the burgers taste was nice, the burger was more medium-rare than medium-well(photo). Since the waitress was kind and quick, I did not share my dismay with her. Aside from the lack of even semi-authentic Mexican cuisine, the most disappointing part of my visit came from the well-cleaned bathroom with no soap or paper towels. Obviously that’s very concerning as I’m doubtful the cooks have their own private restroom with soap and paper towels.

3 of the 5 tables complained about the salsa having a strange taste… so they stopped offering salsa. I had a chicken chimichanga- no flavor chicken tasted spoiled after eating 3 or four pieces I stopped. Rice was so sticky and had no flavor. My husband had a ground beef burrito- it was full of beans but no meat. Both shells were hard on the outside and slimy on the inside. 3/4 of our food was returned. The waitress said she’d speak to the cook… but we were still charged full price.

They were about to close but stayed open for us. Food and very friendly service excellent. We had steak fajitas and skirt steak. But a bit pricey at 19.99.

Tasteless food no flavors at all. But service was good. Very cramped space. Food was obviously put it microwave to be heated. Management did comp the meal we barely touched it. Went home and ended up cooking food so we could have dinner.

Headed to Michigan and stopped in Paxton to find some food. Found this little gem and thought we would try it. Haven’t had Mexican food in a little while. Tony greeted us and was very grand informative. Got chips and medium salsa ( which we love ). The chips and salsa here are awesome. Got a chicken quesadilla with beans and two flour tacos with the works. Absolutely loved the tacos!!!! Authentic food for sure. Thank you Tony for your hospitality and to your mom who does an amazing job of cooking. Will keep this place in mind next time we are driving through.
