Go here every year on my way to Galena. To me the food is great, nice portions, and the waitresses are friendly. Would recommend.

Tried to order breakfast À la cart so I would only get eggs and meat and I regret ordering from here 100%!!!! 6 scrambled eggs and 3 sausage links costed me $13.90. When I called in the order I asked for 6 eggs and 5 sausage links and I was given my total. When I arrived to pick up my order there were only 3 sausage links and it was going to cost $3.99 to order the other two. Very disappointed and I’ll never come back.

Hubby and I ate here twice while on work travels. Like another reviewer said we were a tad skeptical as the building doesn't look like much but both times we had excellent service and tasty food! We're from the south so it was nice that they actually offered sweet tea ! ? the outside and inside of this place may be a tad outdated but the hospitality you will receive is on point !

We stop here every time we pass through this area. Always good food and service. Today was my first time in a restaurant since the pandemic began. I am in a high risk group so I am very nervous about public contact. Tables were spaced plenty far apart and every booth table and chair was sanitized after use. I hope they survive these tough times. Plenty of room to park my truck and camper.

We stopped for breakfast on our way to Rockford airport. Service was great and food delicious. We'll stop again.
Food was good, we had the fish fry buffett.. my 2 younger kids had kids cheese burgers with Fries and one had chicken strips and fries... We waited 45 minutes for their food.... It never came out.. so I had to hunt down our server asked if she knew how much time was left on it... I knew she forgot to put it in... I've been there as a server... so I wasn't to upset.. But then she never comes back to the table!! My kids ended up eatting the Buffett because they were hungry.... it's not the first time we've had bad service.... But they did box up the burgers to go and take it off the bill... but ended up paying $25 for their buffett ... even tho they dont like fish... they had French fries and salad bar for their dinner. .. Not happy

After I left Rockford, I realized I had a tire going down. Stopped in Winnebago to air it up and continued to Freeport, praying to make it home! Tire went flat right in front of Harvest Restaurant. While waiting on repair truck, when in to get out of heat and get lunch. I am positive this all worked out for my good only by the grace of God. The food was wonderful. Atmosphere friendly. Will definitely be stopping in again. Minus the flat tire hopefully. ?
