Family tried this place for the first time the other night. Everything was delicious! Do yourself a favor and order the Potato dauphinoise as a side. The ambiance inside is a lower light setting, which is appreciated, and definitely has hints of French influence on the menu and the restaurant decor.The only knock I can give is regarding the dining room noise when the restaurant is full; some noise-dampening panels on the walls or hung from the ceiling would help. Just be aware that if you get to the restaurant before the rest of your party, you'll need to wait at the bar before being seated at your designated table. Overall, we'll definitely add Jim's to our list of dinner options in the future.

Food was great. My only complaint was around 3% was added to my credit card receipt that was not on my check. No prior notification was given. I asked the waitress and she said it had something to do with state mandated overtime. Should declare if additional fees are going to be added to the check, not added on after the fact.

Very nice atmosphere, for any occasion. Spinach artichoke appetizer is a must try! Sorry for blurry picture but catfish was amazing. Jim’s bistro is definitely a hidden gem.

The food was absolutely amazing and the service was great; everything can out quick. The atmosphere was very peaceful and inviting. To top it off, the owner saw that my colleagues and I were in a situation with transportation (apparently, uber & cabs are not reliable) especially at night. He gave us a ride to our hotel downtown. Talk about an exceptional customer experience that was above and beyond. I will never forget it! Thanks, Mr. Jim!

I love Jim's Bistro. I've checked Quickbooks and I've spent over $3000 in the last 18 months at Jim's Bistro. Tonight I discovered that a restaurant charging $50+ for a steak and $30 for lasagna decided it wasn't enough and needed to start charging customer a 3.5% up charge for the privilege of processing a credit card / debit card to pay for the exorbitant meal. News flash, that's more than the fees charged for processing. How do I know? I owned a coffee / sandwich shop that had 65% of their business paid for digitally. What didn't I do? Charge my customers for the privilege of paying for my product, and I didn't have anything that cost $50.00 on the menu. So, as much as I truly love the food, the $3.80 they took from me means they will lose the next $3k. Hopefully everyone reading this will do the same thing for the next 30 days - and the value of digital payment will become crystal clear. Last, I asked r server about the charge and her answer was "it's posted on the door" (it's not, I checked on the way out) and "the owner is standing there, you can tell him" - I opted to make a bigger impact by persuading others to boycott for a limited time.

Checked out Jim's for the first time for my birthday today. Service was fantastic, and I could not ask for a better time. The beer selection on draft was all craft type and no light or ciders. Besides that, it was canned or bottled, which we do neither. We did not order wine, but it seems to be the choice with the other diners. The food was very good and portions were very generous, to say the least. Plan on returning and trying another meal in the future if we get out that way.
