I’ve been to the restaurant numerous times and have had everything they have to offer, today I popped in and had Travis’s Raman and it hands down takes the best thing I’ve had there so far. 10/10 would recommend people to pop in and try the food and should look at doing further Raman offers in the future.
Our brisket was so tough, and our turkey had a funky taste. We didn’t finish either of our plates.
My husband and I were excited to try this BBQ restaurant in Peoria Heights. We reviewed the website prior to selecting this site for dinner. The parking was easy, the environment welcoming and service was great. I just wish I could give a higher rating to the food. I really wanted to like it. We ordered a "family styled" meal including several meat selections (pulled pork, burnt ends, brisket, sausage, turkey, etc), Cole slaw, mac-n-cheese, baked beans and muffins. The serving size was generous with plenty of leftovers for future meals. Sadly, the meat was incredibly dried out...literally zapping all moisture from your mouth as you ate it. We had to douse the meat with bbq sauce in order to complete our meal. (I will say there were plenty of options of BBQ sauce to choose from). I was also disappointed that the slushy drinks advertised on the website were not available to purchase during our visit (wasn't clear if it was a seasonal decision, week nite, etc). The staff was friendly, small crowd inside but noted the large number of take out orders that were prepped. Wishing we had a better experience. I think this restaurant has lots of potential!

The brisket we paid an up charge for was so tough I could barely chew it! The fries had so much pepper on them we couldnt eat them. The only thing that was good were the pickles and onions.

I had high hopes for this place. I've heard amazing things after talking with others. It's been open for awhile so I figured I would give it a try. The first thing I noticed after walking in was the rude blonde woman at the counter who scolded our group for "going through the wrong door". I assume she meant this b/c the menu is at the "front door", although we were coming from pour bros downstairs. Fair enough. Everything is a la carte which isn't unusual for a BBQ restaurant. No issues there. The menu seemed a little expensive but we didn't think too much of this until we got our food. The quality and amount of food did not justify the pricetag. The meat was very dry/overcooked. The chili cheese fries were $14 for a mediocre/sub-par amount with barely any sauce. They didn't taste awful, but there was hardly any topping on the fries - two small chunks of meat, a few beans and a few slices of canned jalapeños with barely any cheese. The rest of the employees were friendly but I will not be back. I am severely disappointed, as I had such high hopes for this place. I rarely leave bad reviews and hate to do this to a local business but I cannot bring myself to promote poor quality.

Good, has gone a little down over the years but still very tasty and would recommend. The jones soda is now only one bottle though, instead of infinite

Went here for lunch today while in town for business. Loved it!! They cook the BBQ in smokers outside and the smell is intoxicating. We got two brisket smash burgers with sides and it was phenomenal. I should have taken better pics because it doesn’t look like much but was perfect amount for lunch. Will definitely go back sometime down the road. Service and atmosphere was super good.

for context, i had tried this place once and it was decent for midwest barbecue but nothing special. Today cemented the idea that i’ll never be back, One call and never again. I call them and say hey can i place an order to go? To which they reply, “NO, online or walk in, doesn’t take long” and hangs up
the phone. thought they just served pig, but they act like them too.
