An Illinois Valley institution for over 75 years! The food was good and the service was top-notch. While the atmosphere was decent, it seems to me they are missing the opportunity to capitalize on the restaurant's history and nostalgia. Such a change could help make it more of a destination location for out of towers. Maybe display some old signage and menus to add to that nostalgic feeling.

Terrible service ordered food to go said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I waited 25 for cold food. While I stood waiting the employees all caught up with a former employee why my food got cold. I wish I could give 0 stars. Nothing like being ignored and getting a terrible product.

Always a great stop when back visiting family. Few months ago the chili was dialed in. Disappointed this past weekend as the chilli was more like a watery soup. When onions float on top thats a soup not a chili. Cheeseburger and pork was tasty. Shake was also good for dunking fries. But please work on that chili. Never known for thick consistency, but this straight up water bowl needs some tweaks. Great place for families.

The place has a long history with town and if you're visiting, you should try it out.

Ordered a broccoli soup bread bowl, bread was so burnt and soup was separate. Ordered cheese fries and cheese was separate.
Ate there a few days ago. Chili had beans and no meat. Taco salad did not have a little zip to there meat. Ate there many times when the other owners had it. We could tell the difference but they said they did not change anything Wrong

A great old fashioned diner experience. If you've been here in years past it's definitely not the igloo you remember. BUT that doesn't mean it isn't good! This version of The Igloo is good in its own right. From the porks that will bring back memories to the hand cut fries it'll definitely let you take a trip down memory lane. And if you want a good old fashioned diner cheeseburger, not the foo foo fancied up stuff but a REAL American cheeseburger, The Igloo can't be beat!

Tenderloin was very good, but fries were way too crispy (burnt). Price was good. $10 for tenderloin plate. (Sandwich, fries and cup of lettuce with salad dressing)
