Moved here from New Jersey a few months back an I’ve been dying for some jerk chicken and rice. I found this spot while looking for food in the area and the food was on point!!! It looked, smelled and tasted so good I totally forgot to take a picture of it. Will come back for 2nds and 3rds ?

I got the jerk chicken and fried plantains. Both were so good! They were out of the fried plantains but I was told if I waited they would make them fresh for me! WORTH THE WAIT!! What a GEM in the rural community to have Jamaican food.The one critique is that the hand written menu didn’t have any prices listed. As someone with anxiety (and a graduate student budget), it did make me anxious to place an order because I have no idea what to total will be. And to those who might say “just ask”- did you read the anxiety part? I obviously overcame this in this moment and just ordered what I wanted, but adding prices would make for a better experience. I might have even ordered more if I knew what the total was before I ordered.GREAT food and GREAT customer service.

We ordered 2 jerk chicken plates and everything was excellent!! The chicken was juicy and well-spiced, the sauce was tasty and just the right amount of heat. The red beans and rice was fluffy, the pasta salad was perfect- not too salty, sweet or mayonnaise-y. Even the lettuce and tomato was fresh and delicious. My partner's favorite part was the plantain! We will be stopping again sometime to try the goat and those Jamaican patties! Thank you so much!
