Star Union Spirits is a fabulous secret tucked into the Westclox building in Peru, IL. The drinks are amazing, and the bartenders are truly drink artists. The atmosphere and history are really neat, and the spirits they craft are fantastic.
The distillery offers live music and sells a variety of bottles. Their 75-25 Whiskey is very good but the Bottled-in-Bond Rye is one of the best rye whiskeys. It's obvious they take great pride in their products. The drink menu is out of this world, with selections that impress everyone.
Overall, Star Union Spirits is a must-try destination for a unique and enjoyable drinking experience. Many have traveled long distances to visit the tasting room and enjoy the cave-like atmosphere. With great music and a friendly staff, this small-batch distillery is a favorite and a place worth returning to. Highly recommend as a destination for a day trip.
