We had a late lunch last Fri & the food was delicious and plentiful. Service was fast and friendly. My husband had the burrito Mexico and I had the Jose's Lunch. The the red sauce was hot & spicy and very tasty.

I have been to this restaurant a few times but the most recent time I went(Saturday) was terrible.When we got there for my birthday everyone but two of us have steak in our food. The service was decent but the only thing that threw me to think that the steam was old was because, Everybody who got steak got what was assumed to be food poisoning. This is because the two people who didn't get steak,didn't get sick.We only think it is food poisoning because it was one of the specials and most restaurants use special meals to try and get rid of older food. I am guessing that the steak was simply just too old. The ambiance of the entire restaurant was kind of iffy but we thought the service was okay.Like most Mexican restaurants they sang and had me put a hat on and gave me a birthday treat, which was pretty good.We thought the food was good until we got home and everyone had started to get sick and so far we have been sick since. January 7th 2023 (We went on January 6th)

Tired it for the first time tonight & definitely wouldn’t recommend. When we walked in we weren’t greeted.. we just stood at the hostess stand while someone was standing on the other side ignoring us. Finally we were seated & waited about 10 minutes before anyone came to our table for drinks or anything. They took our order & the food came out pretty quickly. The only thing I can say about it was the food was good. The waiter didn’t bring our food out and never came back to check on us or even make sure everything was correct. After we got done we waited about 20 minutes for a ticket and take out box. The manager walked by probably 4 times & grabbed our plates & brought us a box. We figured our server was busy & weren’t trying to get him in trouble so we waited.. & waited.. & waited. Nobody showed up.. it’s now 745pm & we have a 2 year old toddler getting cranky so we finally got up & went to the hostess stand to find out how to pay.. waiter finally came up didn’t say a word & acted very annoyed by being bothered. He checked us out & never said a word. We left. Definitely won’t be back. They weren’t that busy.

I did expect to find a Mexican restaurant in the middle of Illinois but here we are. The appetizer of Street Corn was it what I expected. It was more like a street corn casserole. It tasted close to how it should have but there was far too much cream to it. The entree of Flag Enchiladas was great! I would 100% recommend that. The cocktails and drinks were ordered were good. I would recommend this place but beware the street corn was weird.
