Big Apple Cafe

We go often for breakfast here at Big Apple in Plainfield. Food is always good. The biggest problem is the waitress staff yelling at each other. There was almost a fist fight between two of them on our last visit. Very unprofessional. You know that saying: I went for breakfast and a fist fight broke out, it applies here. Its not an enjoyable breakfast when the waitresses are fighting with each other at the top of their lungs for the whole restaurant to hear. They are always nice to the customers at the tables, but seem ready to kill each other. Too bad. The owner and management need correct this situation immediately before customers start leaving for a calm breakfast elsewhere. It has gone on long enough.

Please add a BIG APPLE ? to the top of your sign outside because fr years we have lived in this area and kept going by!!
The little sign is NOT enough to get people to want to turn off tht fast paced road.
Once inside we were like "WOW...why didn't we ever come here?"

This place BEATS any other restaurants by far for miles n miles n miles!!!
I mean, just look at the pictures and you can see the quality and the selection on the menu is exceptional!!
Last time I went I had the spinach and feta omelet and it's delicious!
I think the pancakes can improve a bit they are too thinish.
Coffee is so good...service from very nice staff!!
Different selections offered on their menu and I feel like this is a well oiled functional machine of a restaurant!
We enjoy our visit EVERY single time.
Hats off to the cook or cooks in that kitchen!
Now I want to go today!!

Disappointing. Cold eggs, burnt hashbrowns, overcooked bacon, rubbery ham, dirty table and booth. Only good thing was the pancakes. Skip this one and head to Maple Butter instead.

Our party of five had a wonderful experience at Big Apple Cafe. The restaurant's spacious layout easily accommodated our group, making it a great spot for family gatherings. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient.

Our food arrived promptly, hot, and in impressively large portions. In fact, only one of us managed to finish their plate! The quality of the food was excellent, and the service was top-notch. I would definitely recommend Big Apple Cafe and look forward to returning.

Happened to run into this place for a quick brunch after an appointment nearby. Outside is very unassuming, almost decided to go elsewhere, but am I glad we stayed! Had such a wonderful experience that I am writing my first review. Everything we had from the fluffy french toast, gigantic philly steak, crispy waffle fries, to the coffee was delicious! Nice and spicy chilaquiles, as they should be, and actually rivaled my moms who makes the best! The biscuits and gravy were savory and a little toasty. Hats off to the chef! The cherry on top was the staff. Everyone was so kind and our waitress was not only on it with service but so charismatic. Big Apple Cafe in Plainfield is my new favorite place! Thank you for a flavorful meal!

My wife, my mom and I stopped in here yesterday for some early brunch.

I've eaten here many times. The food and portions are always more than enough, the service is friendly and quick, and the atmosphere is always good.

I tried something new here yesterday. I had the breakfast corn tacos with chorizo, cheese, eggs, hot salsa sauce, and sour cream. It was one of the specials of the day. It was very tasty!

My wife had a chicken sandwich with bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and mayo & a side of french fries. It was a very good well made sandwich!

My mom had ordered a mushroom omelette, some wheat toast, with a side of pancakes. She said it was very good. I forgot to take a picture lol but I'll take her word for it!

Overall always great! If you're looking for a great breakfast or a great brunch head on into Big Apple Cafe, you will not be disappointed. See you next time! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Service was good but the food was not very good. We went for breakfast. We asked for the hash browns to be extra crispy and they were served pretty close to raw.

We haven’t seen too many cars in the lot so we were dubious about the food, but it was actually pretty good! We would definitely go back! Burger and pork chops were cooked perfectly!
